Saturday Critters ~ 288 ~

The hubs likes to walk at our local reservoir,
they have a beautiful walking path that is well maintained.
I either sit in the car or on a bench and knit.
He sent me a text that our local Great Blue Heron was there, looking for dinner.
This Heron can be seen here most of the time,
and is use to being around people.
It is blue gray overall, the sexes are similar so I do not know if this is male or female.
This is one of my favorite large birds.

There is something about each one of these pictures that I love!

Wonderful series of photographs, Debbie. There is nothing quite as dramatic as a Great Blue Heron stalking its prey, and then watching that lightening strike as it captures its next meal. Well done!

Hi there Debbie, those birds are very interesting and fun to watch, they are fierce hunters! I especially enjoyed yesterday's post....Oh I loved seeing all those locks, so fun! I love the pictures of the rocking chairs. I guess that they outlawed the lock placing over in France I think? But after so many years and such heavy weight of the locks, it had damaged bridges or something.....however, this fence appears very new and not in danger of being damaged with a few locks, at least not now.??? My opinion may not be very popular, ha ha LOL, but I don't see the harm in it right now, on this fence. I could be wrong. What do you think?

P.S...I am sorry about the sea glass!!! I know how you love it! Do you think after time and erosion it will be back??? I know they are always renourishing and redoing our beach sands here, and it changes the look of things for awhile, sometimes it stays and sometimes they evolve back to what they were.??

I so agree, each one of these shots are terrific, I just love the coloring on this one, just love how the light is shining on him, and the cool set of feathers on his head.
