Saturday Critters ~ 246 ~

It has been as exciting week!
If you follow my blog, you know that my butterflies have begun emerging.
There is so much action going on...
I thought I would be able to keep track of things, but alas, I have lost track.
I wanted to keep a detailed notebook about what day I brought each caterpillar in,
when they formed into chrysalis and when the emerged.
With 25, it became impossible to identify them, they all grew at different rates,
and we brought several in the house after the initial 9 we first found on August 4th.

There were 3, I was able to chart completely.
They were brought into the house on August 4th, as tiny little caterpillars.
They formed into chrysalis on August 17th, & emerged as butterflies on August 29th.

These 2 emerged yesterday,
August 31st, we allowed time for their wings to dry and out they went.

It was a cool, cloudy, rainy day yesterday and they had a little trouble letting go.
But eventually they got it and flew off to freedom...

You are pretty ambitions raising twenty-five. I forget what our maximum has been but certainly never exceeding a dozen.
