Welcome to Part 2 of my Great Egret photo obsession.
Anyone who knows me knows,
I can't take just one or two pictures of anything...
and in addition to that,
I am unable to pick just one or two pictures to share here.
Each picture has it's own special quality and it's own unique reason why it needs to be shared.

Right after we passed the group of Great Egrets,
we saw this beautiful Osprey watching over it's nest.
It started out as a trip to see Lucy and turned into so much more!

The Osprey nest looks a tad forlorn. I wonder if it hatched eggs and raised young successfully this year. I hope so!
Hello, love the beautiful egrets and the Osprey! Wonderful collection of photos. Happy Friday, enjoy your day and weekend!
Why would you limit us to one foto?
I loved all of these.
Your photos are book worthy. Wow, I hope I can remember to show these to my daughter, she is a bird watcher. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
If you hadn't said 'photo's, I would have thought "paintings" - goodness gracious, Debbie. Out of this world!
xoxo
I know what you mean it is so hard to pick just a couple pictures. I love the one where you have two of them in the pic and the ones you got of them flying are just too cool too, glad you did a two parter :) I have never seen osprey nests like that, surprised they have them right in the open like that. Have a fabulous weekend!
Amazing that you were able to capture these moments in time! I love the clarity of these photos as well. Thanks for the share, have a fantastic rest of your day. Keep up the posts

The shades off green, the pair of birds, the flight photos! Perfect! You had a chance encounter and made the most of it, Debbie.
Those Egrets are so gorgeous.I am glad you shared so many pictures, because each one is special.
These are beautiful, my friend. And I love what you said about not being able to take just one picture...I am the same way :)
Happy weekend to you! Hugs!
Gorgeous! I love their hunting pose! Great photos of the osprey!
Wow, this bird is beautiful and I loved that you were able to catch one of Egrets flying. Amazing photos today by your expert hand. I liked the photos of the Osprey, also. Another bired that I am not familiar with.
Blessings and hugs!
I've been away for a week, and I'm trying to catch up with your posts. I do love the pictures on this one.....just beautiful! You always have something so lovely for us to look at....or something fun to see that y'all have been to, always something ineteresting! Has Fall arrived up there yet? Not really here, it's still HOT!! HA HA lol
How I envy your Osprey...
If you ever decide you have too many pictures of egrets, please just send me a couple for my blog ))). Especially the flight shot ones -- which I can never get right, even though like you I never stop at just one photo of anything. All yours are beautiful and you are right that they each have a special quality.
As you said 'It started out as a trip to see Lucy and turned into so much more!'... and it certainly did :)
Lovely photographs, both here and your other Egret and Lucy posts.
All the best Jan
What fun you both were having!
Don't you just love it when that happens? A trip for one thing turns into much much more. Of course, you always have your eyes open for it and the love of life to experience it!
