It's Where We Roll

It rained this past Friday,
heavy, torrential rain and broke the heat wave we have been experiencing.
After the rain, came cool temperatures, and beautiful days,
the weekend was gorgeous!
Saturday, we were able to ride our bikes...in the morning, and you needed a sweatshirt.
We like to ride here, at Allaire State Park.
The bike path is flat and there are many places to get on and off.
On a good day, I can ride about 2 miles.

Our preferred mode of transportation.

We were just about back to the car when the hubs spotted a group of deer,
maybe 7, with 2 babies.
They were not far off the path but it is heavily wooded in this area,
getting good pictures was very difficult.

There's always that one stick...

This park is always filled with deer but we don't usually see them in the morning.
In the evening, they are out in the open fields and are easier to see.
Still, and always...it is a thrill!!

Lovely animals...and so flexible: they can turn neck and body at so wide angle!

It looks and sounds like it was the perfect day for a bike ride, Debbie, and those precious deer were such a bonus. I know firsthand that they can be so destructive, but I love them dearly.
