Summer Traditions!!

A big part of Summer at the Jersey Shore includes fireworks.
Our town hosts Summerfest on Thursday nights in July.
Music, food and fun each of the outdoor concerts ends with fireworks.
We watch from across the river because the festivals are just too crowded.

Outdoor, movies on the beach are popular as well.
In Long Branch, they set up on a grass area, a stone's throw from the beach.

We have been to one movie, ET.

We love Long Branch and this was a super fun night!

And here's a look at the Summer Bucket List...
we're getting there!

I love the idea, Debbie, of the summer bucket list. You'll have to keep us posted on your progress with it. Already you have done so much. Love the fireworks pictures. You did a great job with them.

Hello Debbie, Awesome captures of the fireworks. They are beautiful. I was checking out your list, I saw Sandy Hook. I heard that is a great place to see the birds. Enjoy your day!

I love the smiley face - that’s got to take some sort of engineering. You’re doing great with your bucket list with still a bit of time left!

Your firework photos are MUCH better than anything I have ever achieved. And hooray for being able to watch them without the crowds.

Excellent fireworks photos! I would prefer to watch from across the river as well.

Those pictures are fabulous! You really know how to use that new camera. Wish I were that smart. From across the river sounds perfect to me!!

Theh photos are spectacular and I find it amazing the fun things that are so close to home. We do have various parks that have outdoor movies. We haven’t tried any yet. We should do that with our grandkids for sure this summer. I love your bucket list. I went through it and you still have some great things to look forward too. Blessings and hugs!

My daughter and grandkids were at the "Shore" the week of the 4th. Her mother-in-law has a home right on the beach.
I asked if they were going to the "ocean" and they said, "No. We are going to the shore." Okay. What do I know? I would have said, "I'm going over to the ocean for a few days." LOL

love the fireworks pictures!--I can almost hear the "boom boom boom"! LOL Outdoor movies look so fun! I am enjoying your summer list and wondering what so many of those things and places are....looking forward to future posts about these places, I've not heard of hardly any of them. How is your week going and how are your birds doing? and have you been in the pool this week?

Dina used to love fireworks. She's grown into such a homebody, she doesn't even want to go out to watch fireworks any more.

Lovely shots of the works

I love it when communities have fun events for the people to enjoy the summer together. Love the smile face firework, you caught it perfectly!

Fun! I live in a lake town and we have an event where people float on the lake and watch Jaws on a big inflatable screen. Also movies beside the lake other times in the summer.
