Yarn Along

Christmas has past, along with Christmas knitting.
Christmas knitting = Christmas gifts...
I am happy to report that I finished everything in time for the big day.
ooops,
I just looked back on my last yarn along post,
and I already told you that.

Also, as was reported in that post, the last hat I knitted was too small and too tight.
I decided to knit a new one using a pattern I was more familiar with.

This is it, a
Cider Press Hat

Knitted with hand dyed baby alpaca yarn.

I ran out of time and was not able to finish this hat before Christmas - now I have run out of yarn.
I sent out an s.o.s. to my knitting teacher Leanne and her sister liz,
I purchased this yarn at the coop, Liz was the person who hand dyed it!.
Fingers crossed she still has more.

This is a picture of the washcloths I made and gifted to many of my girl friends for Christmas.
Two washcloths and a bar of soap fit perfectly in those cute boxes I found in Walmart.
I found the "wrap around labels" on Pinterest here.

The knitting crew had our first annual Christmas party and it was so fun.
We all brought a dish...we ate, we knitted and we laughed - a lot!
Many thanks to Dee, Leanne's mom for hosting us,
the coop where we knit would have been too small for all of us.
This is a GREAT group of girls,
I am so happy to have met each and every one of them.

Update: Liz has more of the yarn and she has put it aside for me.
YaY!!

What a brilliant hobby with so many new friends.
Nothing worse than running out of wool. I hope they have a spare ball!
Have a great day :)

Beautiful...I love it. Glad to see that you are at or were at it again. I bought some purple yard a while back to make a hat and have not even started it yet. So much to do....always so much to do.

That's great she had more of the yarn after you had so much done :)
Your packaging looks great of the wash cloths, I totally forgot to take pictures of mine before I wrapped them, I am so bummed, but my girlfriends only got one washcloth and home made bar of soap and a little ornament.
so special you were all able to get together for Christmas!

I'm so happy that she has the yarn you need. I know that I started a crochet project and ran out of yarn and wasn't so lucky. I had to buy all new and start over. It's been while. I still love the wash cloth gifts. I really want to learn how to do this one; I think it is a great gift.
Your group looks like some great ladies to love and enjoy.
Blessings and hugs!

Great yarn post! Knitting is one of my fave winter pasttimes. Funny though, I don't knit in the warm weather months.

Love your washcloth gifts. Wanna swap a washcloth for a bar of my friend's homemade Happy Herbs Soap?
