A Ride In The Country

I hadn't left the house in a week...
and I am fine with that, but was happy to get out yesterday afternoon
for dinner and a ride in the car.
If you follow my blog,
you know I live both 10 minutes from the country,
and 10 minutes from the beach...it just depends on which road you choose.
Yesterday we choose a ride toward the farms and country and were blessed with a pretty sunset.

This is a familiar farm we pass often on our way to and from
Allaire Stare Park
The park was closed and the deer we usually see in the field were not there,
but I thought the sunset was so pretty and peaceful over the freshly fallen snow.

How lovely to live 10 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the country. I have been reading about the snow cyclone you snow bunnies up there were bombarded with......did that affect you. Glorious photos of a most glorious sunset.

That sunset is worth the drive out of town.

I'm fine staying home for a few days too, but after 4 or 5 I'm ready to get out. These beautiful skies were a great extra benefit -- thanks for sharing. (You live in an ideal place, that is for sure, so close to both mountains and coast. Eugene (our Oregon home) is a little like that, not quite so close, but an easy day trip to either ocean or mts. We love that too!

I wonder if the windmill, behind the barns, is still working?
