Saturday Critters ~ 172 ~

Our Egrets have returned to

This one was so skittish and so difficult to photograph, out of the 50ish pictures I took,
these were the only 3 worth sharing.

These images are the first ones I have taken and shared here with the new
The zoom capability (35 mm equivalent - focal length 24 - 1440 mm)
is awesome on this camera but for some reason, I am still struggling with it.

I know we will become best friends, but there is a small learning curve getting to know it,
adjusting to the "feel" of a new camera.
It will surely be better for photographing wildlife, especially these big birds.

3/50 sounds about right. This is the power of digital. We can fire away, and a few are usually satisfactory. And it's much easier to adjust in post too.

Glad you are enjoying your new camera, and getting to know it :) These are wonderful shots, at least you have 3 really good ones! I am sure there are more that are good, but if you are like Greg you are a bit picky :)

From one who is terribly novice at this phototaking business, your shots of this gorgeous creature are sublime. It looks like the most wonderful camera, if your shots are anything to go by. I bet you are having the best fun playing with your new camera. As ever, sublime photos, Debbie.
