Macy's Flower Show

Sunday, while we were in the city...actually as we were leaving,
out of the corner of my eye I saw Macy's, looking a bit more colorful than usual.

I noticed this sign and quickly put it all together.
The store windows were decorated with colorful flowers...
a Flower Show with a carnival theme.
This was one of those, stop the car moments, right in the middle of Times Square.
The hubs got us safely to the shoulder,
and of course, there was no place to park,
so I hopped out alone, camera in hand.
Getting these pictures was almost as dangerous as getting out of the car...
I wish you could have been with me to see how it's done.
Try to remember that New Yorkers are not kind, polite or friendly.
They do not move when you are trying to get a picture,
and Times Square was packed.
It was me verses them, and I was not leaving the city without these pictures.

Welcome To The Carnival

The show runs until April 9th - It wasn't easy to get these pictures - you're welcome!

  1. Wow, what fun this is. It hits a sour note for me though, here in Minnesota. Macy's bought out our Minnesota family department store "Dayton's" which always held spring garden shows, Santa Land with incredible displays, (every artful display for whatever occasion there was) but Macy's finally closed their doors in that downtown Minneapolis location.
