Macy's Flower Show

Sunday, while we were in the city...actually as we were leaving,
out of the corner of my eye I saw Macy's, looking a bit more colorful than usual.

I noticed this sign and quickly put it all together.
The store windows were decorated with colorful flowers...
a Flower Show with a carnival theme.
This was one of those, stop the car moments, right in the middle of Times Square.
The hubs got us safely to the shoulder,
and of course, there was no place to park,
so I hopped out alone, camera in hand.
Getting these pictures was almost as dangerous as getting out of the car...
I wish you could have been with me to see how it's done.
Try to remember that New Yorkers are not kind, polite or friendly.
They do not move when you are trying to get a picture,
and Times Square was packed.
It was me verses them, and I was not leaving the city without these pictures.

Welcome To The Carnival

Weird & Wonderful

Rare & Remarkable

Oddities

Strange & Unusual

Bizarre & Beautiful

The show runs until April 9th - It wasn't easy to get these pictures - you're welcome!

Wow, what fun this is. It hits a sour note for me though, here in Minnesota. Macy's bought out our Minnesota family department store "Dayton's" which always held spring garden shows, Santa Land with incredible displays, (every artful display for whatever occasion there was) but Macy's finally closed their doors in that downtown Minneapolis location.

You mean when you told busy New Yorkers that you have a BLOG they didn't stop and get out of the way??!!!! How rude!!! LOL!!!!!! You're the best. The pictures are awesome.

Well, aren't you the brave one! I guess the hubs had to drive around the block a few time. :)

So, so very beautiful! What a place; and you with that camera. Wow - thank you for this - and, I'm very glad
you didn't risk your life for naught. :)

You don't know the many times that I slammed on my breaks and threw things in reverse to get that SHOT! Dangerous but worth it at the time. Wow...amazing and colorful pics.

OMG you are the bravest woman I know. Thank you for showing these ... wow. Your new camera is working a lot better than mine. I suspect it is the operator.

Well you did a great job of scaring away the people so you could get your pictures!

Fantastic!! I am laughing out loud on my train- the image of "stop this car" in the middle of Times Square is priceless! I'm enjoying this image almost as much as your photos.

Wow, you brave girl; I can't imagine doing that myself. However, I would say the photos are worth the effort. They are awesome! It looks like a great event. Happy you were able to capture them. Big hugs~

Good for you Debbie - I had a chuckle at the way you "girded your loins" and jumped out of the car to take those photos! So great to see them too, thank you intrepid blogger ;D)
