Cappuccino Mousse Trifle

We were meeting Emily and Jaun for dinner again on Sunday night.
 Same place, same time.
They will come back to our home for desert and I am hoping for a game night.
I have made this desert for Emily before,
I'm not sure about Jaun - but I know Emily loves it.

So here's the recipe - super easy, no baking and it is so delicious.

- here are the ingredients -
- cut the pound cake into 1" cubes and set aside -

- whisk milk and coffee, let stand 5 minutes -
- set aside 1 cup of milk mixture -
- add both packages of pudding mix to the remaining milk mixture -

- fold in one container of the cool whip -

- to assemble -
- place 1/3 of the cake cubes in the trifle -
- pour 1/3 of the reserved milk mixture over the cake -

- top with 1/3 of the pudding mixture -

 - making a total of three layers -
- I used mini chocolate chips in-between the layers -

- top with the remaining 8 ounces of cool whip -

- a sprinkle of cinnamon and chocolate shavings on top -

They are leaving soon for New Zealand and I will miss them so much.
I can't talk about it!

Great looking dessert and so easy.

Best wishes to the young couple as they head out on their New Zealand adventure. You will have to Skype or Facetime with them.

Hope you had a good time together, I am sorry they are moving so far away.
Well since I can't stand the taste of coffee, I would have to make some changes to this but it does look good :)
Hope you have a great week ahead!

Wow!

I answered your rout question over on my blog, in Comments.

As for the AC is On, your take is very good. In part it is a play on words.

Debbie, this reminds me very much of Tiramisu (one of my favorite desserts), but a WHILE LOT easier!
I have friends coming over this coming Friday evening, and was wondering what to serve for dessert.
Without a doubt, it will be this.
Thank you, my friend!

I'm sorry they're leaving, Debbie.

You have me drooling over the recipe; reminds me of some things that Mom used to make.
Thank you for the recipe. :)

"a sprinkle of cinnamon and chocolate shavings on top" ... the finishing touch!

Sorry that they are soon leaving for New Zealand. I had the opportunity to holiday there many years ago now, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I can see you spending time on skype.

All the best Jan
