Snow In March...

We didn't get a lot of snow this past Winter,
and we have had some really warm temperatures here at the
Jersey Shore.
I believe some weather people are saying it has been one of the warmest Winters on record,
I don't know when they starting keeping records.

This past Thursday, it was 65 degrees - bike riding weather,
on Friday - we got snow - go figure!

The snow was pretty, we didn't get much and the flakes were big and fluffy.

When I woke up and looked out the sliding glass door, this is what I saw.
I yelled to the hubs to get the camera.
The next seven pictures were taken from the upstairs bedroom.

Where's my river?!

And my poor Daffodils...

These two are of the backyard as seen from downstairs.
It was beautiful and refreshing.
Those weather peeps are talking about more snow on Tuesday...
and they are using the word Nor'easter...
and they named the storm Stella...
this sounds serious.
I "may" have to go to the food store.

Hello, pretty captures of your snowy yard. I heard a big storm is on it's way tonight-tomorrow. It figures we are due home this weekend, I will bring the Florida weather with me. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

Beautiful! It was supposed to snow here Saturday night...so of course, it didn't. But we got a surprise snow Saturday morning around the time I had an appointment to pick up groceries. (Sigh!) Luckily it just snowed enough to turn the grass and trees white but not the roads. The best kind of snow!

We had some yesterday melted quickly though

I think it looks beautiful. At your house it never stays around very long does it? I keep hearing of this North Easter. I do hope it isn't as big as they say.
I hope you have lots of wool to keep busy with. If I could stay in the house with a storm, I would hide my fit bit and just sew or hook. :) Have a great Monday.

We are having quite a frigid March after a somewhat warm (for us) February.

Daffodils are tough. We had quite a patch in our former place, and often had them covered in snow. Since they come later here, I can't remember whether they've been snowed or not. Besides, we don't have as many, so it would be harder to notice.

awww, I think I'd take your snow today over all of our pollen. My sinuses are killing me.

Burr... the snow is so pretty especially on the daffodils. The flakes look so big! We just missed it, we are just cloudy and cold. The weather channel is saying the north east is going to get a blizzard, load up on those groceries!

Such a beautiful scene and you took great photos! Just doesn't seem right to have snow on the daffodils!

HAHA....it got us Friday night. Total surprise when I woke up on Sat. morning. Beautiful pics and you have to admit the snow does make for a beautiful scene. I love it but not after Mother Nature has shown herself in the way of spring.

That kind of snow is so beautiful I love it when it clings to everything.

Very pretty! That's more snow than we've had this winter. I think Ma Nature is a little confused (or drunk) bwahahahahahahaha!

A white wonderland ... hope your poor Daffodils are ok!
The weather does seem very topsey turvey at times!

All the best Jan

Oh, those poor daffodils, Debbie!
We are in for 20-24 inches between tomorrow and Wednesday.
I don't think spring will be here any time soon. :-(
xo.

Poor daffys. The snow is beautiful though. Sounds like you'd better stock up all right. (I could probably handle a day or two snowed in if I had coffee and ice cream.....)

it is very pretty but so sad to see it after the flowers are out and blooming... I heard on the news that you guys in the North east were going to get hit pretty hard. We did get 2 inches ourselves today, it has melted since and then it started snowing again this evening but I don't think it is sticking, isn't this just crazy, we hardly have snow all winter just dustings and then we get this. Hope you don't get hit too hard!

Very pretty! We're in for a LOT of snow tomorrow! I'm kind of looking forward to a snow day :-) - a lot!

I think I heard you were in for 8-14" of snow out thatta way. Stay inside, and knit. :-)
We got 2" today because we were on the northern edge of the storm.

March just can't be trusted when it comes to snow! Yours is pretty. Hope you got what you needed before it got too bad. I saw a few flakes this morning, but now we have lots of rain--which I'd rather have than snow!

Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring? Yes, I think no matter the weather, you live in the most beautiful place on earth!

We're supposed to get 27 -32 degrees in the early morning tomorrow. And, that is really cold for us but next week in the mid 80's. LOL

I must say that you still got some lovely snowy photos. I like the ones on the Daffodils; even though I know you were worried about them. Weather has been so strange here too. We have had a lot of snow; so we are now worrying about flooding. Loved the photos as I always do! Blessings and hugs~
