A Day Without Knitting...

is like a day without sunshine!!

It's been pretty dang sunny around here,
let me show you what I mean...

Two more "Donny" hats done.

I made this one with baby Alpaca yarn, it is traveling to Pennsylvania.

This one is for my beautiful niece in Barnegat, NJ,
this is Alpaca yarn as well.

I started this one yesterday, for another of my beautiful niece's,
we share a common love for purple.

I have completely outgrown my knitting carry all,
and I have extra yarn stuffed in to
every available container in the house.
It's time for a real knitting basket, I have earned it...
and have tons of pretty yarn to fill it with!!

African Bolga Basket Gambibgo Pot 0

So I found and picked this one online...it's not available,
story of my life.
Now this is the only one I want, I suppose because I can't have it!

Oh dear, I feel your disappointment. It's true though that we often want what we cannot have. :)

Such beautiful hats! You're definitely a pro now. :)

Don't be sad; it only means you'll find something you like better and be glad the one you wanted
wasn't available.

You definitely deserve a real knitting basket. I hope you find one soon that is available. I finished my scarf and am now wondering what to do next.

Oh gee whiz you are gifting me with that old gentle push I need to dig into my mother's knitting stash! She even used to knit clothes for my Barbie! Well you, and my daughter, and now also my daughter in law! (Yeah I've been peeking through their knitting books!) Yikes it's like winter is nearly over and everyone (seriously) I kid you not are KNITTING! Or trying to learn. Your work is beautiful, and so precious how you knit for loved ones too!

I love your knitting! Any more gloves, or do you still not like them? I would be disappointed if I couldn't have those baskets, too. My mom used to carry her knitting and equipment in a big paisley bag -- I still have it!

If I had a choice to pick my favorite I couldn't do it cause their all just to pretty. You picked the best yarn, never seen yarn this nice before. The baskets I need going to try to find them on line. There's that sea glass again makes me wanna go to the beach & search for some. Think I will this weekend..

You really do have a gift for knitting. Those caps are wonderful! Btw, I saw alpacas over the weekend and could not stop touching their soft fur. Hope you find the perfect knitting basket. I hate when the one item I want is not available. So rude! lol

Glad you're enjoying your knitting so much. And thanks for your comments. I always think your own photos, especially of birds, are outstanding.

I've seen those baskets at Earth Fare and Whole foods. Do you have a store like that nearby? I love the things you make and that little tray of seaglass, too. Enjoy your day! Hugs, Diane

So glad you are still knitting. It does seem to take over. I don't even knit and you wouldn't believe the balls I have stuffed every where of lovely wool yarn.
My wool box is almost as bad.

I love your hats. Those baskets are stunning! Everyone should have one of those.

That's good that you found your basket local. I found these Ghana Bolga baskets from a site called baskets from africa. $36.50 for 16.5' across free shipping no tax. The only problem is they have 800 to choose from, now I'm confused trying to pick which one, I like the handles. Once when you posted about the place you buy your yarn & where you learn to knit. I went to the site & that was a wonderful nice shop. Will be looking forward of seeing your post with your new basket.
