Road Trip!!

Don't you just adore a good road trip?
I love packing up the car, with all our necessary and unnecessary things!
Most of what I bring, we never use...
but I get so much comfort from having everything,
you know, just in case!

So where did we go,

this lovely spot,

in Branford, Connecticut.

We went to visit oldest son Scott, his girl Katie and her daughter Abby.
And yes, that is a "dive at your own risk" sign,
I did not test the waters.

We love Katie, she and Scott are just wonderful together.

This was my view for most of the day,

Abby had a ball and it sure was fun watching her.

We met Katie's parents, they prepared a lovely meal for us
and we chatted like we had been friends for years.
It is fun to meet new peeps, new ears for all your old stories.
I think they enjoyed it too!!

More tomorrow, we had an awesome time!!

Yes, I definitely love a road trip. Looks like yours was very nice. And the weather was good. All rain all the time up here these days.

Abby is a doll!! My son dated a gal, who had a daughter from a previous marriage. When my son married this lovely gal, the daughter became my 'bonus' granddaughter. And I still refer to her as my bonus. Not everybody gets a bonus, only us special grandmas!!
