Sweet Ride!!

1915 Model T Ford Runabout

Chuck....also known as "the hubs"!!

Me...with the Model T

Ford produced Model T cars from 1908 through 1927.

The cars could reach a top speed of 40 miles per hour.
But with no speedometer, drivers never really knew how fast they were driving.
Speed was controlled by a lever on the dashboard, there was no accelerator or gas pedal!!

The Model T did not have a starter like today's cars.
Instead, the engine had to be cranked by hand to get it going!!

Nice horn, right?!
This beauty was on display down in Cape May!!

When I closed my eyes, I could easily see Chuck and I
riding in the front seat of this baby,
with the wind blowing through what little hair we have left!!

They are cool! We have a little transportation museum here and even though old cars aren't my thing, I still think they're so fun and nostalgic.

Sweet rides!
Ahhh...if there was no gas pedal I could keep my legs tucked under me so the mouse wouldn't climb my leg! What an idea:D

Cool looking ride! I can just see you two tooling around in that!

That is a wee cracker of a car isn't it. It would be so much fun to drive about in that and honking the horn.

I think you would have on a purple scarf wrapped around your head, very Jackie-esque; the ends would be blowing in the wind behind you. You might even take it off, holding the scarf as far out the window as you can possibly reach and raise your arm. Just as the wind surrounds the scarf you will let go and it gracefully takes flight behind you like one of your most beautiful birds.

Roger, my hub, would say blowing through his scalp! On the other hand, even though my hair is short, I have enough for both of us and more, too!

Hubby & I love old classic cars. Next month we travel several hours to a little town in NC for a huge car show. The streets in town are closed down, and filled with old restored cars.
This one was a beauty! Too bad you didn't get a ride...
