Hodge-Podge

the definition of hodge-podge is a confused mixture...
Here is a picture illustration of living my life during a quarantine.

I have had a lot of fun playing with and releasing my butterflies.
Some hang around and don't really want to leave, others fly off as if it is their job.
The hubs and I stand and watch them fly away,
it is an emotional send off.

I am enjoying these magazines I bought to support the girl scouts in my life.
You can get them in digital form but I have enjoyed holding the paper versions in my hands.

There have been many very joyful rides on my new electric bike.

We have been enjoying some delicious farm fresh eggs.
I have been saving the shells to share with my garden.
The calcium from eggshells is good for garden soil
where it moderates soil acidity, and provides nutrients for plants.

I am enjoying my new dishwasher, the old one caught on fire.

The controls are on the inside edge, that slides under the countertop.

It has 3 shelves inside,
it is very sleek and very beautiful,
is it weird to be in love with an appliance?

I have been cooking every night,
the meals from Home Chef have been awesome!

The skies and clouds have been pretty amazing.

I read that people are bored in quarantine, I'm so glad I never am.

Another couple of real nice days in the books!

Hello, Love the beautiful butterfly. I am sure it is a joy to watch them take off. You did good. It is scary your dishwasher caught on fire. We have a dishwasher but hubby prefers washing the dishes by hand. I don't stop him, lol.
Your meals look yummy. Pretty sky and photos. Take care and have a great day!

I don't get actual magazines anymore, but I do prefer reading a real book rather than a digital version. The dishwasher caught fire? I'm glad there wasn't any serious damage! Your stay-at-home meals look awesome! And so does your new bike. Glad the butterfly releases are going well!

the electronic circuit board caught fire, such a good thing we were home and not sleeping. i would often turn the dishwasher on and go to bed, i will never do that again. my nails are looking pretty sad...they are so much longer than they usually are and the middle finger on that hand is broken pretty far down. it has been months since i have had them "done", although i must say, with that said, 7 of them have held up really well. i am using nail glue on the others!!

My husband and I have been looking at electric bikes. We’d love to have them for riding the Confederation Trail. Our picnic bag would have to go along of course.

Noticing your magazines; do you watch HGTV? If so which programs are your favorites, Debbie?

Your butterflies; I can see where it's sad when they leave.

Reading the above comment, Karen. Between the two of you, I feel like a slug! Don't know why my energy took a hike. LOL

Sending love to you!

I am with you, I like to hold a magazine in my hands and look at it :) All our shells go into our compost pile that ends up in our garden :) Wow that is a slick dishwasher, your old one caught on fire? That must have been a bit scary, ours is getting quite old and I have a feeling it won't be long until we will need a new one, Love the stainless steel and I have never seen a 3 shelf one before. Those clouds are awesome, we had a lovely sunset a few nights ago but I just enjoyed it, now I wish I would have taken a picture. I am not bored either but maybe because I didn't work from home, I think it is those people that worked and staying home just isn't there thing.

Debbie!
I admire your nails beautifully. The butterfly is cute and the food looks very appetizing. I am not bored during the prevailing epidemic. Work, home, garden. I also love reading books.
Hugs and greetings from far away Poland.

Those perfect, ready to fly butterflies are so beautiful . Some days I honestly wish I had a dishwasher, but I don’t , so i become the dishwasher.I'm not nearly as slick as the one you have.

i'm so glad you enjoyed it. you have encouraged me and so i write. it's nice to have chickens, i would like to have them too. the style bike i needed/wanted did not come in purple, but i have learned to love the bluebird of happiness!! and what a difference the pedal assistance makes, it has changed my life!!!

Wow that's a pretty sky! Anyway, I was on my way to comment if you'd please put up more pics of your pretty new bike.....and here it is! ha ha ha LOl. Thanks. It sure is the most beautiful shade of blue. I love reading about your precious butterflies!!---they are so pretty and you are helping them to survive and reproduce! Hope your week is going well. I also still subscribe magazines, real ones. I am real old fashioned that way, hahahahaha LOL. I love to hold a real book or magazine in my hands. I've been a "magazine junkie" since sometime in the late Sixties when I bought my first issue of "Teen magazine and fell in love with it. lOL Anyway, I subscribe to HGTV and Better Homes and Gardens as well as many others, too many to name ha ha ha LOL

Does your new dishwasher have a simple on/off button? Ours doesn't, so we end up pushing random buttons until it starts!

Your Butterflies are so beautiful. I liked this one in your hand. I love your heart of love these beautiful creations. Hey, your nails look lovely too.
I too love real magazines to flip through, I'm not a fan of the on-line ones.
Thanks for the reminder of egg shells being good in the garden. We do love our eggs.
Your new dishwasher looks awesome. I think three shelves is really good. I just keep praying ours will last for a while longer. Your meals always look yummy! I had to save the photo of the skies; it's unique.
Sending loving thoughts and hugs!

Debbie - I don't subscribe to magazines any more, but I always consider them a treat when I go to the hairdresser, or when I am in the waiting room at the dentist. Wait! I am not doing that anymore … There is a great satisfaction with feeling the pages of a book or a magazine in your hands. I am in love with my washer and dryer - overall, compared to our grandparents' day - such time savers! You are amazing with your butterflies, girl!
