Out For A Drive

Do you ever just go for a drive, destination unknown?
I call them
"Adventures in Photography"...
We get in the car and just drive around looking for objects that catch my eye
and end up in a photograph.

Like this eye catching market cart that just begged to be photographed...

Lovelandtown Grocery & Provisions
Don't you just love that name?

At the base of the Lovelandtown Bridge

And how about this scale in the window?
The shop was closed, or I would have been all over it with the camera!

And look at this painters palette outside one of my favorite gift shops...

Calgo Gardens

This birdhouse...

this rooster...all unusual and needing to be photographed.

And what about this Firehouse in Redbank, New Jersey?
I could not get over the distinctive, old-time look!

I always stop for horses and they are always interested in me...
except these three.

They barely looked up, never looked over...
could have cared less that I was there.

I found this painting in a "Sip & Paint" shop.
Leanne and I were out for lunch and shopping for yarn,
I thought this would be a fun paint for us to do together.

  4. Going for a little jaunt is one of my favorite things to do but I do not normally see such unusual sights as these.

  6. I often go exploring. I named the drive a camera safari. It's my favorite thing to do. I want a birdhouse like that one. It sure is appealing to the eye. Have a wonderful week.

  8. We do, do this, Debbie, and you know most of my very favorite photos were gotten on a "drive to nowhere."

  11. Oh my! Those horses were rather rude to you.Looks like they were not in the mood to be friendly.I love rides with no destination.Sometimes those end up yielding the best pictures, as this post proves.

  12. Hi there Debbie and I hope you are feeling much better!! I love all these pictures and you and I are so alike--we drive around looking for neat things as well--one of our favorite ways to entertain ourselves on days when we feel like taking a drive! That is a cool old fire station!

  14. Oh YES!!! we love just going for a drive and seeing where it takes us, although hubby says it is time for a move becasue we have seen everything here but really we haven't, he is just itchy for somewhere new. That store is very cool, and that big paint palette is something else. There is just nothing like New England :) We have one of those paint and sip stores about a mile from us and I have yet to go.

  17. Oh my, you do find interesting places to photograph. This is exactly the kind of place I would enjoy visiting. It does have an older time flare to it. Of course, I loved your photo by the Paint Pallet; just adorable. I loved the horse photos. I can't imagine that they ignored you.
    Loving thoughts and hugs!
