Saturday Critters ~ 208 ~

Lake of the Lilies - pictures from a visit way back in October.

Everyone was home...

It was so cloudy,
but the sun came out for a brief moment,
and I was able to capture the swan, drenched in sunlight.

A pack of Ruddy Ducks and two Coots.

2 American Coots

Two juvie swans, cuddling!!

Some of my favourite animals captured beautifully, as usual. Birds are so amazing! Thank you for sharing Debbie.

very nice pictures of the birds but you just gotta love those young swans. They are friends!! Or siblings who get along.

Hello, Debbie. looks like you hit the jackpot at this spot and lake. I love the beautiful swans. Lots of the cool looking Ruddy Ducks and Coots. Great series of photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. I appreciate your visit and comment too. It just started to snow here, lightly. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.

I called my friend an "Old Coot" last week and when she frowned, I said, "No, that's a compliment. It means your Ducky."
I love Swans, but get too close and they can be mean.

Great images Debbie. I find coots difficult to photograph. Yours are very sweet.
Have a great weekend.

I must find a place where I can see more waterfowl - besides gulls and geese!

Must have been a family gathering going onto have so many ducks in one spot.

It's like all of the weird cousins came home for Christmas! LOL! Beautiful photos! I've never seen a Ruddy Duck in person.

Are all swans brown when they are juveniles? (I"ll go ask Google or Wiki) ... jut don't think I've ever seen brown ones .

Really really loved the swan drenched in sunlight and the cuddling swans. Of course, all the photos were spectacular as always.
Warm thought and hugs!
