Bananagrams & Puzzles

Youngest son Mike is home for a Christmas visit.
Arriving on Wednesday,
it was a little difficult for me that neither of the boys were home on Christmas morning.
Addie and Lorelei filled the void very well,
and I had a wonderful Christmas with them and the rest of the family.

Now we are making up for lost time...working on Christmas traditions
and making new Christmas memories!

Mike & Lila bought us this game for Christmas.
I was not familiar with the game...it is similar to Scrabble but fun-er.
I really enjoyed it.
It is a small, portable game that would be great to bring along when traveling.
This was my word grid, I won!

This belongs to the hubs...

and here is Mike's grid...we all did very well!!

They also bought us this puzzle for Christmas.
A picture of them together in Italy...

it went together pretty quickly and what a great picture them...
and also a treasured gift!!

Mike painted this beautiful picture for me for Christmas.
I absolutely love it!!

I'm happy for you that your son was able to make a Christmas visit! I suspect the time is coming when my kids won't be home on Christmas day - I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I do believe that Christmas is whenever and however you are able to celebrate. I agree, bananagrams is fun-er than scrabble. It looks as though you're having an awesome holiday!

Hello, Debbie. So glad you son was able to visit. The gifts are nice! We have been playing scrabble lately too. The photo puzzle was fun, what a great idea. The painting is pretty. Enjoy your day and weekend!

I had not seen that game, Debbie, and it does look like fun. That I would try but I don't do puzzles. Don't ask me why. Have no idea, just don't like them. I hope your 2018 is filled with lots of blessings.

We rarely see our kids on Christmas, but our son is visiting this Sunday, and we do facetime with our daughter in B.C.

I know how you feel. My youngest son isn't speaking to me. The other is in Vancouver, across the continent. My daughter's in-laws are visiting. We just have to make do.
Happy New Year!

I love to play scrabble so am sure that I would like this game however, my hubby does not like such things so guess I will just have to stick with the old one on the computer. Loved the gifts they gave, things to do together and something to remember them by.

This game does look fun. I like scabble but as I get older I'm not so good with words anymore. However, if I worked on it maybe it would improve. I am impressed you won. I think that a puzzle of your loved ones is so unique. I loved the picture he painted for you too.
Warm Blessings!

so nice that he was able to come. I have not heard of that game, nice to have such portable games while traveling. Picture puzzle is a neat idea. We are putting together a puzzle too this Christmas break, still working on it.
Homemade gifts are the best, glad you had this time with him.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year, have a wonderful 2018!

Fabulous that your son, Mike was able to visit you. That game does look fun. I love Scrabble but I don't ever seem to win......my husband always does. Lovely painting that Mike painted and gifted you. May you have a great new year, Debbie.
