The Stargazer Lily

Appealing to both the eyes and the nose,
The Stargazer Lily is a flower that never fails to stop passers-by in their tracks.

There was no shortage of these lilies at Longwood Gardens.
If you could stand and watch them go from bud to bloom,
it would probably look a bit like this.

Dramatic, bold and beautiful, their scent is intoxicating.
You could say they are show offs!

I love Stargazer lilies and have grown them for years in containers. Another favorite of mine is Tom Pouce.
