It. took. forever.
I can finally say it's finished and I will be gifting it to my niece Deanna for Christmas!
This yarn is by hazel knits, a lively, hand dyed dk weight yarn,
90% super wash merino, 10% nylon.
This is a pattern Leanne recommended for me and I really love it.
It would be a quick knit for the dedicated knitter.
I knitted these leaves last fall - I would like to string them together to make a banner.
I will need a few more...which begs the question,
where on earth did I put the pattern?
We have been so very busy and it feels good to be home,
relaxing, with both of our laundry baskets empty.
I cooked a really nice dinner last night and it actually felt good to be in the kitchen again.
It's a busy month for us and I want to savor each precious moment I have at home.
For me, home is my favorite place to be.
How about you, where do you feel happiest, on the road, or in the comfort of your home?

Love your beautiful artwork!Greetings!
Hello, the cowl and the leaves are pretty. You did great! It is good to be home and relaxing. Wishing you a great day!
I agree, home is the best and like you I kit a knitting wall a while back with a pair of slippers but finally finished them and have now started a baby blanket for the hospital.
Home is my sanctuary. I prefer home to travel these days!
Debbie - congratulations on your finish. Beautiful. I definitely prefer to be at home, especially when the weather turns cool. I just want to snuggle up on the couch in front of the fire!
Yep! Home is best these days. Used to love road trips and may have a few more in me, but with the cold weather coming, I too prefer to sit by the fireplace with a good book until spring.
Beautiful yarns, and your niece is a lucky lady to be getting something handknitted from you. The cowl is very pretty and looks like it will keep her nice and toasty. I love traveling but when I know the traveling is almost at an end I can't wait to get home. I love being there and never want to move.
Awesome work!! That leaf banner will look great!
I love your knitted projects. I do enjoy going out, but home is always the best.
Your finished project is lovely as always. It is the perfect gift. I love the leaves you made too. I hope you find the pattern for more. I have missed following you and I will try to catch up a bit. Life has been too busy and I do love just being home.
Missing you and blessing and hugs too!
Oh it may have taken a long time but it looks perfect, sure she will love it. Oh I hope you find the pattern soon, the leaves look terrific and would be great in a banner. Oh I agree, it is fun to get away but my favorite place is home that's for sure :)
Beautiful cowl, Debbie. Love the leaves; hopefully you'll find the pattern. I'm not gifted in knitting as you are. :)
xoxo
Though I do love road tripping around beautiful Tassie, I must admit I rather adore being in my little home. Your cowl might have taken a little bit longer than you would have liked to knit, but oh my, it is beautiful, Debbie. LOVE those little leaves. Yes, a banner with these pretties playing beautifully together is a most fabulous idea. Hope you find the pattern. =)
Deanna is going to love the cowl :)
I love being at home …
All the best Jan
