Holland Ridge Farms

We visited Holland Ridge Farm last Wednesday...
When you visit during fall you can view 40 acres of gorgeous sunflowers, beautiful flowers and mums.
Or if fall activities is your thing,
they feature hayrides, carriage rides, pony rides and much more.
They also have food trucks and areas where you can pick your own flowers.

This is a picture fame - I think you are suppose to stand behind it...

yep...or maybe "not" sit on it!
it was hot, I was tired...but I probably should have figured it all out!
We went later in the day, it was not crowded, but it was so hot, an Indian Summer day!
And the scarf, really NOT needed, but it was a "must wear"
as I bought it just for this day!

The fields were so beautiful and almost all of the flowers were in bloom.

There were a lot of butterflies, mostly monarchs.

Here you must be careful not to "tip" the shoe!

There were also lots of mums, just starting to bloom.

Is there any flower cheerier than a sunflower?

Holland Ridge Farms in Cream Ridge, New Jersey
If you have the opportunity, take a ride and see this farm, it's really special!

It looks fabulous, we never did get to our farm with the sunflower maze, it was just too hot for us, you have to take a wagon ride over to it and standing in those lines just didn't thrill us. Love the pics with the butterflies on them. I give you a lot of credit because I don't think I would have been able to wear the scarf whether or not I bought it for the day, I would have to use it to keep my hair up off my neck though :)

Gorgeous, and the perfect scarf for the occasion! I love sunflower season. There is a local sunflower and corn maze near us. I think the season is over here now though. We had snow this week.

BEAUTIFUL....I love sunflowers, they are so bright and pretty. Then they also feed the birds....and me! I love sunflower seeds. You fit right in with that scarf. Great job. Looks like so much fun.

Debbie - I would have been wearing that scarf, too, no matter the heat. You fit right in with these sunny, cheery flowers. I am always impressed with how you and your husband join in the fun with the photo opportunities! And it makes my heart sing to see all those monarchs - there may be hope yet!
