Saturday Critters ~ 306 ~

While we were in Hershey, Pa., we visited their very beautiful, very hot and humid
Butterfly Atrium
There were hundreds of butterflies,
fluttering about with more than 400 tropical species, from time to time.
For a butterfly lover like myself, this was heaven...
I spent as much time as I could and looked like a wilted flower as I slithered out.

Zebra Longwing

- Tiger Longwing -

This butterfly was gorgeous when fully open, I just couldn't get a picture in focus.

Giant Owl

- Red Postman -

Plumeria

Red Postman

African Moon Moth

Open year round,
they feature beautiful plants, soothing water features,
and awesome, colorful butterflies.
If you ever visit the area, don't miss this wonderful attraction!

These butterfly conservatories present a wonderful range of visual delights but can also be a great educational experience. We have a couple here - one very local and another in Niagara Falls that we enjoy.

AMAZING!

Especially the pale green and beige one. He's the key lime pie butterfly!

Some of those I've never seen before. Fantastic detail and such beautiful colors! I can imagine it was quite sultry inside, though. LOL!

I really need to make my way to the butterfly park over in St. Louis, looking at all your wonderful pictures of so many different species is amazing! Isn't it crazy how hot those can be, the one we go to about knocked me out with the heat.
