This is a hodge podge post -
all the wonderful moments from our trip north that were not included in previous posts.
We went to Abbot's, of course - it was our first stop!
It was a little windy, but it was also a beautiful day to eat outdoors, on the Mystic River.
We go to Abbott's every time we visit the area.
You may remember me sharing pictures of the food at Abbott's in this post from earlier this year.
This is the view, you dine on paper plates with plastic silverware at picnic tables outdoors.
The food is amazing!
After we ate we found a small park to sit and enjoy the view.
I found this sweet duck I could not identify.
I couldn't resist this...we picked up potatoes and tomatoes to bring home.
We had one meal at S & P Oyster Co.
We had this spinach dip with chips as an appetizer, it was the best I have ever eaten.
Dinner was really good as well.
Dinner was really good as well.
We drove home over the newly constructed and newly opened Tappan Zee Bridge

I wouldn't mind a view like that at a restaurant
Hello, I am sure the lobster there was delicious. The views are beautiful too. You are looking very tan! Great photos, thanks for sharing your trip! Enjoy your day!
What a great trip, Debbie. The view, the food, that cute little duck. It all was so good. And, I see they got that Tappen Zee Bridge open. They were still working on it when I was there last. My daughter lives in Rye so I know that bridge well.
Gorgeous and yummmmmy!!!!!
I just love that name... The Tappan Zee Bridge! I will finally look up the background on the name. :-)
This post simply says..... Summer! :-)
Now that is a bridge! Love all the pictures.
"The existing bridge was named the Malcolm Wilson Tappan Zee Bridge in 1994 at the behest of Mario Cuomo."
Gov. Andrew Cuomo tried to re-name it.
Bahhhh-humbugggg on our nutty Gov. Cuomo!
But the Assembly did not take up the bill before adjourning the 2017 session late!
Hah-hah-hahhhh.....
The Tappan Zee Bridge lives on!!!!!

The water view is beautiful! What a great place to relax after eating. That's a very unique bridge...quite the modern art look.

You are giving me all kinds of ideas of places to go when we go see the kids :) I didn't know they built a new bridge, anything that makes getting around New York easier sounds good to me!
