Along the Way...

We were on our way home the other day and out of the corner of my eye I spotted...

Bambi, with some cute little baby Bambi's that still had their spots.
I mentioned it yelled out to the hubs and was sure he would swirl the car around.
He didn't and shortly thereafter we were sitting at a red light.
We just sat there as I babbled on and on about how close they were to the road.
Finally, he asked, "do you want me to turn around"??
- awwww, YES -
He did and I was able to capture this incredible moment.
There was a little bit of trespassing
 - this is someone's backyard -
I rang their doorbell once before and they were not home, today, I didn't have time.

The Bambi's are almost always as curious about me as I am of them.

  1. They are pretty used to people to hang about like that. They are very skittish in the country, which of course is also hunting territory.

  2. Well yeah, you can't miss a super photo-opt and viewing the cutest nature moments ever! And we get to see it too!

  3. Lol. Your conversations with your husband sound like the conversations in our car. We do a lot of U turns on back roads here. Thank God for great husbands.

    The Bambis are gorgeous!

  4. That's up close and personal!! Happy your hubby turned around for you. They do listen.... sometimes. hehe

  5. Bambi liked to go out on your pictures Debbie, he's very handsome. I love them.

  6. Hi Debbie, sweet shots of the deer family. The little one is adorable. I always love seeing them. Have a happy day!

  7. You rang their doorbell? You are so cute.

And so is he. Turning around, so you could get the shot.

And I guess, he was 'riding shotgun' too..... with you walking in someone's yard!!!!

  8. Such beautiful creatures.
    Lovely photographs.

    All the best Jan

  9. Great photos! I'm a little surprised it required so much effort on your part to get the car turned around. ;-)

  10. Totally worth turning around and going back! Glad they were waiting for you!

  11. I do love the Bambi pictures. This is such an adorable little family. I love the baby Bambi's. I can see why you would yell out on this one! Hugs for you two~

  12. So beautiful! I'm glad y'all turned around. I see photos like this and wonder how in the world people shoot to kill; too sad. :(

  13. Sweet! So happy the "hubs" turned around. They babies are just adorable and momma is very pretty.

  14. Debbie, these are my absolute favorite wild creatures.
They are so precious, and I am thrilled that you were able to photograph them.
