Peddlers Village

is another great place that is on our "must see" list every autumn.
We visit this historic shopping village several times each year, but you can't miss it during fall.
Each year the shops and schools create amazing scarecrows and display them throughout the village.
Hundreds of scarecrows are on display and visitors can vote for their favorite of the bunch.
I'm not much of a shopper, I wander in and out of the stores,
what I enjoy most are the scarecrows,
and dinner, we always have an amazing meal at Earls.
Last year I numbered these, this year I'm going to do the same,
pick your favorite, if you can, and include the number in the comment box.

It was starting to get dark, but look at how beautiful this place is!

Did you have a favorite...I loved them all!!
Out of the hundreds on display, these were 18 of my favorites.
If I had to pick one, it would be #18, I liked the traditional look of the scarecrow.

What an awesome display. It is so difficult to pick one winner.

Hmm, that's a tough choice. They are all so very good in their own ways. I do love Cousin Itt... but if I have to pick a favorite, I guess I'd go with #6. It's very creepy.

Where do people get all their creativity from? Very tough choice, but #4 made me laugh out loud - I guess I can't argue with that. Very fun display! - and I'm with you, meandering and a great meal trumps shopping anytime!

very cool. You have to love people with an imagination. (it's the law)

I always enjoy your posts from this place, and I think it is neat they do this scarecrow thing every year, the Northeast of the country does fall so well! Ok I would have to say my favorite is #3, but #18 has a great classic feel to it, so it is a very close second :)

What fun. I like them all, but lean toward the more traditional and less 'scary' .... I think #8 was my favorite -- a whimsical take on the traditional and I like the bright colored fall flowers surrounding.

Such a beautiful place...everything looks so perfect!! I like the first pumpkin head... I would love to make something like that some fall...but then... I'm so uncreative:)......

They're all fantastic, but if I were to choose just one it would be #3!

I think I like #5 and #13 the best because they look happiest. Not that scarecrows are supposed to look happy...or pleasant, but hey, I wouldn't actually want to scare anyone away! ;) Thanks for sharing all these, Debbie.

I love this place! The gardens are beautiful and all those shops would make me a happy camper! I think I love the first one the best - I'm such a traditionalist when it comes to scarecrows, but they are all pretty special!

#4 ... I love how something is always happening with you, Debbie! - be it an excursion like this one or working on yarn and gallery walls :) ... Do you know, all the many times I went to New Hope, I never went to Peddlers Village?! Go figure!

We just visited Ashton Gardens again today and took photos of 57 Scarecrow displays. We picked our favorite too. I will do a post on our adventure later. I think your photos and displays are a bit more elaborate. I thought #14 was awesome because I like Dory in Finding Nemo. The creepiest one was # 12.
It does look like such a fun and lovely place to visit. Blessings and hugs~

Glad I'm playing catch up on your blog as I love it when you post the Scarecrows. They are all so much fun and so cool but I'm going with "creepy" this year as my favorite with #3.
