Last week, the hubs and I went on a sea glass hunt.
A sea glass hunt is much different than a walk on the beach.
A sea glass hunt is just that, a hunt and a contest.
During the hunt, at the waters edge, we each go a separate way, with our own zip lock bag.
The winner is determined by who finds the most glass,
who finds the best color and who found the biggest piece.
I win, I always win, even if I don't win, I win!
We always find the best sea glass in Seaside.
Can you see all that foam??
Chuck did this, he always makes sweet signs in the sand.
These were taken a few days before Mathew hit Florida.
We found a total of 106 pieces of sea glass.
The hubs found 48 and I found 58.
I found the biggest piece and the only blue piece.
I tossed out 2 or 3 of these pieces because they were too sharp,
but most of these were good, smooth pieces.
And there were 2 fences pictured here, just in case you were distracted and missed them!!

Hello Debbie, lovely photos.
Amazing pieces of glass you collected! I watched a programme on the telly the other week in which a woman made the most amazing fish sculptures from glass and small pieces of china that was washed up on the beach.
Have a wonderful weekend :)
I don't think I've ever seen sea glass before. I don't know if it exists in the Great Lakes.
Belas fotografias gostei.
Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

Hi Debbie!:) I will be interested to see what you make out of these pretty pieces of glass! Now, there's another challenge for you!!:) I collect shells, but have never noticed sea glass on our shores, but it must be there. I'm going to look for some the next time we go to the beach. Beautiful seascapes, and I love that Chuck drew the heart in the sand.:)
Ok, I definitely have to try Seaside because I NEVER find any sea glass when I'm at the beach. I did find a live crab this year though, haha
Beautiful photos...the glass is cool too
What a fun contest! I never thought to look for glass instead of shells! Lovely photos of the stormy seas and I love the pier!
What do you do next with the glass?
I remembered seeing pieces of sea glass on the beach. Are you going to use them for some craft projects. I have to go back to look for the fences because I was distracted by the sea glass. Lol!
Of course you win, this is just the coolest kind of game ever! I recently met an artist that uses these pieces for unbelievable art designs, and she's got me hooked. I'm going to play with it too! Your stormy photos are really special too, better to be on this side of it though! Great boat too, always like your captures, and the fun that you have! I wonder if my hubby would like that game? Smiles!
Beautiful beach, photos and love the sea glass and hubby's sand writing ~ thanks!
Wishing you a special weekend ~ ^_^
I was totally distracted by looking at those wonderful photo's. :)
Chuck is really a sweetheart, isn't he? He loves you so much.
And, yes I know you always "win". LOL
xoxo
Oh soo soo beautiful!!!... HAHA... I love that you have contests collecting glass.... sounds like something we would do...but my hubby would be the winner...he has a great eye and that's his thing collecting...although I would love to collect sea glass.
The heart of a lovely sky dangerous but very beautiful.
Debbie, as always, fantastic pictures.
Hugs and greetings.

You have the sweetest husband!
I love your sea glass. A friend of mine makes art from hers.....but the sea glass we find in Texas is not nearly as plentiful as what you have!!
Fences!!!! Such a storm...
Wow! I can't believe you found so many pieces! I never have much luck. And you also got some great photos!
I have found shelsl and other things along the shores, but do not recall ever finding such pretty sea glass.
Beautiful beach photos! I like the clouds and surf! I have no doubt you always win! ;-)
I love the sea glass, but I must admit seeing the sea and surf (and fence) was amazing.
Great photo's again Debbie.
All the best Jan
sweet. :) chuck is precious.
A game I've never had the chance to play!
I had to laugh Debbie when you say your alwaays win, that is the attitude!! Love all those rollers coming into the beach.
Really beautiful pictures there! The sea looks very moody. I was in Seaside Heights many many moons ago, back in the 70s. Y'all find so much sea glass!! wow!!--we hardly ever find any here. And you got that one lonely little blue peice---they must be the most rare ones! I keep mine in a jar but dont have much of it.
To the winner! Your pictures are amazing. Fun to see the sea glass which I've heard about for a number of years but since I live inland, I have never seen any before.
Jealous! I have a total of 6 pieces of Sea Glass since I started looking for it, nearly 50 years ago!!!!!!!
Of course, I loved the pictures of the seaside. The gray skies and waves are specatacular. You did collect some great pieces; i liked the blue one you found. I did have to go back and see the fence. Sending hugs!
Good job on finding the sea glass (and winning)! - I did spot the fences and of course the wonderful beach sign too.
Love your second photo, fantastic scene! Also neat to see the sea glass and how the edges have all been softened. It's been years since I've been to the ocean. We used to gather shells when I was little.
Wow you captured some mighty dark skies and rough water, I bet the sound was amazing, I love the sound of water rolling onto the beach!! I like how you win even if you don't win ;) Looks like some great pieces you found!!
