Scenes from Yesteryear...

Staying alert during a ride in the car is so important.
This is a struggle for me...do I knit, or do I enjoy the view?
I generally choose the view and I am so glad I did on this day...

Could you imagine missing this?
A few weeks ago the hubs and I were in South Jersey looking at property,
we both saw this and as I shouted the hubs was pulling over, he saw it too.
But you must know that he is well "schooled" as he was on the shoulder before I even shouted.

This mural was amazing, a true work of art.
I wish more people would/could do this,
it is such a great way to beautify an ordinary building!
And can you imagine, this is a Self Storage Building, one of the best I have ever seen.

Amazing! It is so realistic that it looks 3 dimensional! Knitting in the car would make me motion sick - my only choice is the enjoy the view - or sleep

That's very cool. Not far from where I live, there is a mural similar to this on the side of a bank. I'm glad the hubs is well schooled in the "whip the car around" move.

What a beautiful mural! I wouldn't want to miss this too. That is why I am always on the alert when I am in a car, even when I am driving!

The building reminds me of one in my hometown that used to look just like that mural, back in the 50's. Wouldn't it be fun to paint that old building with some "portraits" of the original towns people? This is great!!!

Wow that is just too cool, you do have him trained very well :) This one was done very well, that is amazing that work was done on a self storage place. There is a little town not far from us that has some murals also, it is a neat surprise to see them!

I love murals. I don't know how you can knit in the car! I usually have my head hanging out the window, hubby in his parka and toque. :-)
