A Special Sand Cherry Tree!!

My Sand Cherry Tree always blooms after all the others have faded.
The landscaper planted it too close to the house but lucky for me, it is a favorite for my birds.
It is the stop over spot for the birds, where they wait for their turn at the feeders.
It is the tree I photograph them in.
Soon, it will be filled with leaves, making those images more difficult to capture.

But at this moment, it is airy and beautiful,

with tiny pink ~ white flowers.

Can you see here that the yellow jackets love it as well...

there were several buggers, wrapping themselves in to the flowers.
I took these pictures standing in the exact same spot I do,
indoors, as when I photograph my birds.

It's a great tree and an awesome spot!!

Such beautiful captures of a world waking up from a long winter's nap (even though I love winter) :)

Don't think I've ever seen a Sand Cherry tree in bloom, but it has the same reddish leaves in the spring that our Pin Cherries will have in two weeks or so.

Hello Debbie. Your Sand Cherry Tree at this time is really beautiful with all the pretty flowers and red leaves. The bees love the flowers too!

We love our cherry tree a couple of years ago. I planted two apple trees. I should go check them!!! Although the deer trimmed them in winter. :-( I am so happy I can enjoy YOUR tree!

That is a pretty tree now and I'm sure later when it is filled with leaves.

A beautiful spot for the birds to wait! Your Sand Cherry Tree looks very similar to a tree I have that's called a Flowering Plum. I wonder if it could be the same kind of tree. I wonder if I call mine by the wrong name. I'll have to check it out!

Beautiful pictures, that is nice that everything doesn't bloom all at once that way you can enjoy the blooms for longer!! Greg was mentioning the same thing the other day that it is harder for him to get his shots now that the leaves are coming back out.

That beauty is bound to make you smile when you look out your window.

Such lovely blooms indeed. We don't have trees in our yard (no one wants to rake leaves) but I enjoy the ones the neighbor across the street has.
