Spring in Longwood Gardens means thousands of gorgeous, colorful tulips.
Last week was prime viewing week, we visited on Thursday,
and there are no words to describe their beauty.
It is one of the most beautiful places we visit year round,
Spring in the gardens has the most beautiful blooms!
This is a picture overload, scroll quickly or slowly, the choice is yours!!
Here's my fence...it "may" be overshadowed by the colorful tulips.
I think the mixed colors were my favorite.
They resemble a patchwork quilt.
One yellow tulip among all the others, brushed with a beautiful stroke of red.
These yellow tulips looked like they had orange paint strokes,
and then there was one orange tulip,
towering above the others.
Whoops, see the one purple tulip among all the yellows?
All of the tulips are identified by name.
Can you imagine trying to narrow down the images, what to share, after taking almost 400 pictures.
I think I will show the inside Conservatory tomorrow.
It's gorgeous as well!
Sharing today with my good friend

What fence? Hehehehe! I saw it, but I did have to go back and see it, as these captures of such glorious flowers took all the attention!
just gorgeous. like the patchwork, even if not 'perfectly' planted. :)
Wow! They are beautiful. I love tulips. Unfortunately so do the rabbits when I plant them.

The yellow with the touch of red is a masterpiece. Admire you dealing with MS. I am a nurse and have worked with may. It ain't no fun I am sure. Keep on keeping on, your photos are gorgeous.
Goodness, they are all beautiful! Red will always be my favorite, but love the mixed tulips. :)

An absolutely mind blowing sight. We have a tulip farm about an hour or two from me, but had so much rain it did not do so well. This is so breathtaking. Glad you were able to see so many awesome sights.
Tulips, beautiful spring flowers.
Fantastic photos.
Greetings.
Wow! This post is like pure eye-candy.

All I can say is WOW!! It made my knees hurt just looking at them but my goodness what incredible beauty.
Love how you snuck that fence shot in at the start and then gave us a delightful array of gorgeous color over & over again. This was amazing!
In utter awe. I would never want to leave this beautiful garden! And I know I'd need an extra battery for my camera! Just an amazing place.
WOW ... and I thought I was doing well when out earlier to day I saw some wonderful tulip beds ... (alas no photo's)
These are all magnificent and I scrolled very slowly indeed - in fact I went back for another look!
... and oh, yes - I do remember seeing the fence LOL!
All the best Jan

Glorious photos!!!!!!
No I can't imagine how you picked just a few out of 400, Greg averages about 1000 per hour, and I come home with the most 300 total, LOL! I love how the over all view it looks like a patchwork quilt. I will have to say those white and pink flowers are my favorite, wow they are gorgeous :) It is going to be interesting to see the garden through out the year since you have a membership, we were thinking about doing the same thing but I talked Greg out of it because he likes to go somewhere new on his days off and I didn't know if we would go often enough to make the price worth it. Have a great weekend!
That is an amazing sight!
Wow, the tulips are gorgeous! I can't imagine how you were able to choose only a few photos to share.
