I had a lot of fun photographing this
White Breasted Nuthatch.
The dark black crown on the top of it's head,
tells me it is a male.
And although I have read that they prefer sunflower seeds and suet,
he sure was interested in the peanuts I had out for the other birds.
One interesting fact about this bird,
it is the only bird that can climb headfirst down a tree trunk.

Thank you for letting us enjoy all the photos. I enjoy watching this little bird movements through your lens. Great Sunday!
I love the nuthatches! They are fun to watch. It amazes me that they can handle those big peanuts.
So cute! He's taking great care in selecting the perfect peanut.
What a sharp little dresser! Funny how even the smaller birds want the bigger food sometimes!
