It's Just Ducky!!!

When we visited Forge Pond last week there were 2 Mallard Ducks,
one male and one female keeping the Swans company.
They were very friendly, I'm sure they were looking for food...
and the male in particular was very photogenic.

The male ducks coloring was beautiful, more purple than green and I could not have been happier.
I find myself happiest, outdoors, among nature...
camera in hand!!

Debby these are wonderful shots of the pair of Mallards. I always thought that the male had a green head feathers!

"I could not have been happier. I find myself happiest, outdoors, among nature" I could not have said it better Debbie, agree totally and what splendid photos of the ducks. I do love ducks! :) Sweet and comical at the same time.

I knew you'd love the purple, so do I. LOL

I love being outside, but haven't been able to lately. Why? Instead if grasshoppers, we now have caterpillars to contend with. Makes me sad, but trying to find out what to do with them. :)

As always, I love your pics, Debbie - you're a fantastic photographer which I've probably said more than once, or a hundred times, but it is so TRUE!

xoxo

They are beautiful, Debbie.
I love those wonderfully iridescent heads.
I've seen lots of ducks returning, but none have visited our pond yet.
Maybe soon.

I was thinking the same thing - more purple than green! I've never seen that before. Beautiful!

Gorgeous photos! Love seeing the mallards. They remind me of my childhood growing up by a lake in New England. There were always lots of mallards. Hope you have a sweet and lovely week. xo Karen

And some people think females are vain! Mr. Duck here looks to be showing off quite nicely. Loving the purple tones.

Beautiful purple on that handsome guy. He definitely belongs right here on your blog! (Mama can come along too, they make a sweet pair!)

Wow I don't know if I have seen one with purple, they have all been green in this area, I always enjoy seeing the male and female swimming around together!
