The Cottage Fairy

I received the items I ordered from
The Cottage Fairy
Paola, is an artist who lives in an adorable cottage in a very remote area of Washington State.
Both her art and cottage are whimsical, colorful and fun...
I could gaze at these pictures for hours and still continue to notice new surprises!

These 2 prints and a bookmark came together.

The next prints were a package of 6,
I am sharing my 3 favorites.

I believe Paola is 24 or 25, she has talent beyond her years.
Receiving these prints in the mail were just what I needed,
fun snail mail sure did brighten my day.

The Cottage Fairy has a Youtube channel here.
Her Etsy shop is here.

I finished coloring another of my postcards,
I am trying to decide if I should color the white within the medallion/flower.
I thought that might be too much.
Any thoughts from you guys?

I also finished this one,
much easier and a lot less detail.

The postcards I am coloring from
come out of this book.
I probably purchased it on Amazon.

We recently watched a really good movie...
Morgan Feeman, a retired and disabled writer,
moves to a remote village in an effort to regain his strength and passion for words.
The rest is for you to see but I guarantee you will love it.

Winter drives reveal cloudy skies and brown reeds, dancing in the breezes.

- in the depth of winter, I finally learned that there was within me, an invincible summer -

Ah yes fairies it's a delightful thing and your colorful fairies brought to a wonderful light are just what we need during this sometimes gloomy too much grey and lack of sunshine, our windchills are unbelievable again but so it is for many others too. You are my bright shining light today!

What a delight! Ooooo, I vote for keeping those remaining areas white on your postcard. I should take up coloring when I retire. A long time ago, first hubby and I had no money. But we spent hours coloring in the funny photos of a VW DIY repair manual. Your paperwhites and photo arrangements are nice and calming. But why does the Cottage artist always have a teeny tiny frown on her little girl? Linda in Kansas

Very beautiful prints. Just yesterday I spent part of the afternoon coloring with my grandson 5 y.o.
The Cottage Fairy takes me to the past when I listened for the first times the progressive music and "La Locanda delle Fate" was an important Italian band.

What a great post. I recently received a kit of "real brush pens" as a gift and am a little intimidated by it all -- I think the postcards would be just the thing to get started (lol, I'm sure your commission from Amazon will be in the mail shortly!) The Cottage Fairy collection is super.

Delightful pictures of fairies, and I also liked your two coloured postcards. Personally I would leave the background white.:=)

Love your post. However, I would fill in the background with a medium blue (something a little darker than the blue in the flowers, but not too dark)... but that's just me. I think it would make the flowers 'pop'! (or maybe something like the background on that last Cottage Fairy pic?) And the Magic of Belle Island is good. I enjoyed it... and love Morgan Freeman.

I like the white in the centre of the postcard. A colour would look good too though. Colouring fills some of my days now and I am enjoying it. I purchased a beginner’s book for art. I am looking forward to trying some new things.

Oh wow she is quite the artist, like how she combines people with animals.
It is hard for me to leave white space when I am coloring but I will say that looks great just the way it is. Love the flowers with the bees too, you will have a good selection for your cards :)
The movie sounds interesting, I will have to see if Netflix of Prime has it.

Thanks for sharing this art work. It is remarkable and fun. I love that you are coloring cards. I feel like it would be relaxing and a lot of fun. I'm thinking on this. The movie sounds wonderful and I will look for it. Thanks for the link.
Sending hugs!
