Saturday Critters ~ 302 ~

I am back to photo secessions with the birds, as the butterflies are starting to fade.

A feeding/photo secession starts with this, the hubs putting peanuts out on the deck rail.
A few seconds later the Blue Jays come, in droves...
and a few minutes after that, the peanuts are gone.

Hello, wonderful series on the Blue Jays. They do love the peanuts. I have seen the Jays pick up a peanut like they are weighing it, put it down and pick up another. You have your hubby trained well helping with the birdie food. Thanks for sharing your post. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great weekend. PS, thanks for the visit and comment.

Yay - blue jays! You took some wonderful photos of one of my favorite birds. I look forward to the winter months when I will be able to set my feeders and peanuts out, again.

Put out the peanuts and the Blue Jays will come. I proved that this morning, when I put out peanuts. Love your pictures.

I had to laugh I read critters and then the first picture was of your hubby... that is so neat that they come as soon as the peanuts are put out, it's amazing they can deal with those peanuts as big as they are compared to their beaks

Oh gosh, the Blue Jay is a gorgeous bird. The patterns on the feathers are amazing. I am looking forward to once again oohing and aahing over your pretty birds.

Your pictures are always amazing. The Blue jays are beautiful. Do you ever get crows in your yard? I have a fascination with crows. Oh, I also think that's a great pic of your hubby!

Love seeing them, I don't spot them often by my house. I hear they are noisy though?
