On The Way...

We always pass Clover Hill Farm on our way to Allaire State Park.
These beautiful horses, a total of 3, can almost always be seen grazing in the field.

Driving past on Sunday we noticed there was a new horse on the farm.

The hubs turned around so I could say hi and take a few pictures.
The owners son happen to be buzzing around on the farms golf cart,
he stopped to say hi and told me the new horse, Penny, was just visiting and
would ultimately be going to another farm in the area.

They all seemed to be getting along nicely.
Gorgeous, well cared for animals, it is always a treat to drive by or stop and take pictures.

When we got home and pulled in to the driveway,
I noticed this garden looked so pretty drenched in sunlight.
The summer vincas still look gorgeous, don't they?

The hubs ordered the tulip bulbs to be planted in November...
450, but he won't tell me what color.
It's to be a surprise and I am pretty excited about that.

Do you plant bulbs in the fall to fill your spring garden with color?

Is the Pope catholic?? =) I planted much too many bulbs last Autumn and they are just stepping onto the flower stage now. What seems like thousands of many varieties of daffodils are brightening my day at the moment. Gosh, 450 tulips...your garden is going to dance with gorgeous colour. Aren't those horses beautiful animals. Your vincas are still looking lovely. Love that wood structure/house.

Beautiful photos, love the horses. Last year we planted many bulbs that I bought in Amsterdam but it was a failure, maybe I made something wrong....

Lovely horses. Penny seemed to be checking you out in the first couple of her pics but then it was as if the others were telling her that you were ok and no need to be wary :D)
Love the Vincas, they look gorgeous. That's a pretty birdhouse too - has a touch of 'steampunk' to it - love it! xx

They are such beautiful horses, the new one did look a bit younger than the others but that is nice they were welcoming to him so he didn't feel all alone :) That is nice they let you stop and take pictures. Your flowers do look lovely in the evening glow. We only planted bulbs one year of our whole married life. That is neat you will have a surprise in the spring :)
