Dearborn Market Part II

A small food store, meets fine prepared foods, with a bakery, deli, butcher,
and a huge garden center.
They host special events in their garden center, last week they sponsored
The Deep Cut Orchid Societies Annual Orchid Show

I shared the Orchid Displays on Tuesday, here,
today I am sharing some of the unusual and colorful single blooms I photographed.

A lot of people ask me what type of camera I use.
I had a Nikon DSLR for many years.
I found changing the lenses on it inconvenient,
the camera never seemed to have the lens on it that I needed at the time,
and the zoom lenses were beginning to get too heavy for me.
I visited my local camera shop,
we still have one of those, and the people were very helpful.
After listening to me describe my needs, they recommended a Nikon CoolPix B700 .
I think I purchased the camera about 2 years ago and I really love it.
It is compact,
lightweight and super simple to change the setting from the many they have to choose from.
There is nothing you can not photograph really well with the automatic setting.

So, do I LOVE my camera - I do - I really do.
All of the pictures here on my blog, for the past 2 years, were taken with the
Nikon CoolPix B700.
I checked on Amazon and it runs between five and six hundred dollars.

For me and just my opinion, this camera is the best option for getting great pictures
and keeping photography fun...

Do you love the camera you are using??

Oh my how can one pick a favorite, they are all so very pretty. I am amazed at the variety of colors. I must confess I am not into taking pictures a lot so just use my phone:)

Thank you for that. I really, really need a new camera. I thought maybe you had one really crazy expensive camera because your pictures are always so pretty.
I love your pictures today.

Funnily enough I have a Nikkon Coolpix B700 too, and I love it. I always thought you had one of those very expensive cameras. I think I will have to play with my one more. As for 'your' Orchids, the photos are gorgeous. I am always amazed at the exquisiteness of Orchids.

You really do get the best close ups with your camera. I know it helps to hold your camera steady no matter what kind you have. My hubby has a Nikon P900 and he loves it. I use a Canon and I'm happy with it too and it weighs less. These flowers have the most beautiful details when you look at them zoomed in! WOW!

Beautiful photos of those orchids and thank you for the information on your camera. I am finding ours very heavy nowadays so when we need to buy another camera I will look into the one you mentioned. Thanks Debbie :)

Oh wow! I am glad I don't have to pick a favourite. Each one is special and so pretty. I do love my camera. I used to have a Canon with a great big telephoto lens and a smaller lens as well. My hands and shoulders were beginning to get sore from this. I now have a Panasonic Lumix with a lens that I don't have to change. Lightweight and easy to use.

Those flowers are so beautiful! I loved the pretty heart in the sand picture from yesterday as well. Yes!! I love my camera. I'm a Canon girl as well. Mine is a much simpler model than yours, but suits me perfectly for now. It's small and light and easy to carry. Do y'all have any weekend adventures planned?

I have a Canon T6i with changeable lenses but the one I use the most is the 18 to 140 lens. It is one of hubby's old cameras that he gave me when he upgraded, he is all Nikon now himself. I don't know that I would go out and buy a camera just for myself.
You took some amazing shots of those flowers, it always amazes me the different styles of flowers and all the wonderful details in them!

Oh, Debbie these photos are spectacular. The colors are so vibrant. They are all so good, I can’t pick a favorite. Thanks for sharing what your camera is. My husband has an nice camera but I think it is to cumbersome and we always forget to take it due to all the parts. This sound like such a great camera.
Blessings and hugs!

The orchids are so beautiful! I have the same camera, but it doesn’t take such good pictures ...I think it has something (a lot) to do with the operator! I also use my little purse camera sometimes.

Wow! these flowers are beautiful! I use an old Canon Rebel with a very good "go-to" lens. I'm ready to upgrade my camera - maybe this summer for my birthday. Your Nikon takes fabulous photos - but then, you also have a very good eye! I'm not sure what I'll go for next time around. I like the idea of something compact as my lens is somewhat heavy.
