We've been back to Belmar several times to check on momma swan.
Both momma and poppa were at the waters edge, unfortunately, there are no babies.
There was a whole lot of this going on, they sure do spend a lot of time preening.
Both mom and pop kept a close eye on me as I took pictures and as I left.
I first found momma swan on her nest on April 16th and wrote about it here.
I went back to check on her on May 15th and wrote about it here.
I'm not sure what happened, the last time I was there the babies were in the nest.

Very beautiful birds: they are so majestic.
Hello, Debbie! The swans are beautiful. I hope all is well with the babies. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
Oh, I do hope everything is ok with the babies!
Some great shots here again, they do love preening and they look marvelous don't they!
All the best Jan
Maybe babies were hiding in the tall reeds along the edge?

Pity there are no goslings but perhaps they are taking a year off! Grogeous images Debbie of the parents.
Oh my goodness, how did you know I have a swan fetish? Well, I have a fetish for all birds, but particularly swans. xoxo Andrea @ This Knitted Life
Perhaps not good news about the goslings. Swans are such beautiful creatures.
Just beautiful! Your photos are so crystal clear,
I feel as if I could reach in an touch the swan!
Swans are such elegant and glorious creatures! Such beautiful photos, my friend. I am sorry the sweet little babies were not there....maybe they were hiding in the grass somewhere.
Have a wonderful week. Hugs!
Oh gosh, maybe she has them in another location? She is a beautiful critter!
Beautiful Swan.Lovely pictures.
beautiful
Hopefully no predators got to the eggs or babies. Unfortunately that is a;l too often the reality. You do have great pictures of the Momma and Pappa.
that's a shame.
Hmmmm. Predators, perhaps. Swans are some preening fools! Beautiful photos!
Gorgeous photos Debbie. Hope the babies have been relocated by mom or something.
Wow, lovely photos of the swans. So curious to know what has happened to the babies.
Blessings and hugs~
Oh, so sad. They are beautiful. Perhaps snapping turtles in the water? I lived on a little pond in New England and the snapping turtles would eat all the little ducklings. The tragedies of life.....Maybe they will try again. xx K
I was so looking forward to having a peek at those babies. I wonder what happened. Gorgeous photos of those preening swans, Debbie.
I wonder where they are too. That is curious. Really pretty pictures though.
translated: Excellent work and beautiful photographs. A hug and a good week.
