It's All About That Stash...
If you are a knitter, or a yarn hoarder, you know exactly what I am talking about!!
If you are a knitter, or a yarn hoarder, you know exactly what I am talking about!!
When I started knitting I bought this to store my yarn in, it's adorable, isn't it?
I was somewhat naive,
but I caught on pretty quickly and after a short amount of time that wasn't cutting it
so I bought this beautiful basket at the farm where I learned to knit,
After a very short while, that was busting at the seams,
and I found this one at one of my favorite go to artsy stores Calgo Gardens.
That is now overflowing with yarn and at this point I am looking at other yarn storage solutions.
That, I'll keep you posted on!
I use this mason jar to store my needles...
There is something about looking at my knitting needles that makes me super happy.
All wood, I like the sound they make when I knit.
The Honey Cowl is finished, I love the color and I am thrilled with how it turned out!!
I started another one, purple, twice the size...that one will be on the needles for a while.
I'll share pictures next week!

Hello, Debbie! I love the pretty Honey Cowl and color. Your baskets are so beautiful too, they come in handy for all kinds of storage. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!
A good organization for knitting yarns, Debbie ;)
Besos.
Yarn storage...always an issue. LOVE the honey cowl! Xoxo Andrea @ This Knitted Life
I love your baskets you've used.
My dear mum was an avid and very busy knitter, she had a wonderful and quite large sewing box which was always filled to the brim with wool, needles, and buttons galore. Yet, she still had to go out and get more storage ...
That's the beauty and enjoyment of hobbies !
All the best Jan
I have a old hope chest in the spare bedroom closet and it holds my stash.....
I love those baskets! nice sweet yarn stash :) and your cowl is lovely!
Ooooh, your honey cowl is so pretty and my oh my, the design is flawless! Beautiful work, Debbie.
Love your baskets :) I had to laugh at how you keep getting bigger as I do the same thing in my craft room. Enjoy your day!
Very pretty honey cowl. I have several of those baskets for yarn and knitting. Those, plus an entire room filled with plastic containers with more yarn!

Nice to have a variety of containers to enjoy along with the beautiful yarns.
Well I don't knit but I know about buying storage items for the things I do use (rubber stamps) - I must say that your yarn baskets are super pretty. Congrats on the cowl, I like the color too.
I love the cowl! I have a big stash of yarn. I bought one of those large plastic containers with lids and it's stuffed full. I'm wondering if the plastic is good for the yarn, though. And your baskets are much prettier and can be "decoration" in a room.
How very nice, yes, how well do I know how my stash always exceeds my storage. I love how you have it all put in pretty baskets and I like how you have your knitting needles. I don't knit really, and I have my favorite knitting needles. :)
I love your cowl too. It is a really pretty color. Very nice Debbie.
You're a smart cookie, Debbie. And, once again have me thinking about taking up knitting or crochet again. I love all your containers, and the color on the last. :)
xoxo
You always make me smile, my friend. :-)
I only use wooden knitting needles too. For some reason, I can control the yarn better.
The aluminum ones?? Nope! I always end up having stitches falling off of them.
I only keep the yarn for the project I am working on, nearby.
I do love the bamboo needles--like the way they sound and feel in my hands.
I want to try bamboo crochet hooks too, but haven't yet.
You knit beautifully, by the way!
Every little thing you do is beautiful, very classy gal. I love it... ♥
Love the baskeets adn your finishd cowl is gorgeous
I think all knitters end up with an assortment of baskets and bins but yours are all so beautiful! I need to up my game in that department. I've been knitting for decades but have never tried the bamboo needles. They sure are beautiful in the mason jar. Very classy!
thanks karen, so happy to see you today!!!
If your like my friends you will have a room dedicated to your yarn :) Both of them have a couple of dressers that they have full of yarn and plastic totes too :) I like that you have your needles displayed :) The cowl turned out so cute and I do love those color greens!
What beautiful baskets!! I also am always modifying my stash storage. I have found that an unserved storage box works to hold all the yarn (mostly) but I like to have a selection handy so I have a big basket in the living room that holds any yarn I'm currently working with and new yarn I want to keep squishing from time to time! I kept my stash small for many years but then started accumulating more quickly when I really threw myself into knitting three years ago, and it's getting out of control!
Thank you! Im not psting comments much but I read everyone of your post. I always print out your recipes... ★
I love all the knitting things! I think my favorite thing about knitting is my little vinyl see-through cosmetic bag (which I bought several of when they were on sale and gave them to knitting friends!) to put my little knitting odds and ends in: tapestry needle, measuring tape, needle sizer, markers, needle tips, etc. etc. I see that mine also has a mason jar lid in it. I have NO idea why that's there. My friends also like these little bags because you can see everything at a glance. Love your baskets and your knitting. sigh. I'm so unmotivated about knitting...maybe next fall. :-)
You have some lovely storage baskets. I will look forward to your next one. Your latest project is lovely and I too love the color. You have become such an expert in this art. Blessings for you and hugs too~
I should learn to knit, but haven't! My daughter can!
Love your knitting storage! The box is my favorite, but I can see it wouldn't hold many projects. Love the first basket, I have one very similar and one that is larger. They are just such pretty storage baskets!
well that makes me happy karen!!! every so often, leave a comment, even if it's just a smiley face, so i know your ok. you have been a very kind and loyal supporter/reader for a long time!!
i hope you have enjoyed the recipes, not everyone likes the same things.....and my recipes are not the healthiest, i don't hold back when cooking but soon i am going to have to. the waist line is getting too much comfort from the comfort food!!!!
