Yarn Along

I promised myself I would not participate in Yarn Along until my 400 yard scarf was completed.
I have been missing in action these last 2 weeks because I had not finished...
and today, it is still not finished...
* sigh *
400 yards of yarn is a lot, a real lot and I do things, other than knitting!

Here is how it looks today...

it is 64" long = 5 foot, 4 inches...the same height as me.

In this image, it looks a little prettier.

And here is a close up, showing some of the pretty detail in this pattern!
I really love the Baby Alpaca Yarn and the color,
but I am so ready to be done with this project!
I have not been reading, (I hang my head in shame), I am thinking it is just not my thing,
but I have not given up.

I am joining Ginny at Small Things
for
Yarn Along

and what are you going to do with such a long scarf, Debbie? You have far more patience than I do... that's for sure. But, the work is beautiful. Great going.

Your scarf sounds like my scarf! I fear I may be working on it for months. Yours looks so soft and pretty. It will be worth it in the end.

Well it's not as long as me yet--68 inches. :-) It's pretty and so soft looking. Not everyone likes to sit and read books--Larry doesn't. But he reads up on things you're interested in, which I bet you do too.

I mean he reads up on things HE is interested in. lol

I think you're becoming a real pro at this knitting stuff!

Persevere my friend. The scarf is looking good. Reading is not everyone's cup of tea but sometimes you have to persevere with that as well.

Wow that is a long scarf, that is how it is with my cross-stitching, I can work on that stuff for a very long time and it doesn't seem like I will ever be done, looks like your getting pretty close and it is looking terrific, great things take time, right!
I am not much of a reader either, I read the bible every day but that is about my extent, I use to read a lot more when I was younger, maybe if we didn't have all these other distractions I would have time to read more :)

Nice work Debbie. You've inspired me to finish my carbide this weekend. It's been almost done for much too long :-)
