My bird feeders are always packed with birds, packed I say.
But when it snows, the area transforms from a tranquil spot for a bite to eat,
into an "all you can eat buffet" with visitors who appear like they have not eaten in years.
I don't want to call them "pigs"...but I do like to call a spade a spade.
Getting images of them is like shooting fish in a barrel,
barely a challenge.
But there is one little guy, a red little guy, who has eluded my camera
every single time it snowed this winter.
I have captures from previous years I could share, but I like to keep things fresh and current.
So on Friday, when it snowed, I finally got him.
Mr. Male Cardinal
Not my best, but not so bad for the "bad boy" who doesn't like to be photographed.

Debbie these are fantastic! Well worth the wait! He is one handsome fella!
Have fun today!
Great photos as usual!
Good morning, Debbie. Awesome shots of Mr Cardinal. They are kind of camera shy! Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
Such a pretty cardinal in the snow, Debbie. Hopefully the snow is a thing of the past now and we can get on with spring.

He has an attitude, that one! You're so lucky to have cardinals in your very own yard!
Beautiful pictures Debbie, I can even see the droplets of water on his crest.:)
ya outdid yourself today. Kudos. Beautiful
Debbie, these pictures are amazing! Makes me want to set up a bird feeder. I used to have one at my parents' house and I would bird-watch all the time, looking up each bird in my Audubon book. But since I moved, I have yet to set up a feeder(s). Thank you for sharing these beautiful shots!

He is a handsome fellow! I love the "all you can eat buffet" you provide. :-)
I'd say your photos of him are keepers!
Debbie beautiful!
That cardinal has very flexible jaws! i have never noticed that sort of lateral movement. Nice capture!
Very nice! His little crest is showing, too!
Nicely done, Debbie!
Glad you got him, and I think he knows he was being photographed! :-)
He is just beautiful. He must be a shy one. I am glad that you got a picture of him, though he does look like he is complaining at you. How nice you have so many birds to take pictures of this winter.
I can't believe this handsome fellow was so camera-shy :) He is stunning!
Thank you for sharing with Roses of Inspiration, my friend. Your presence at the party is a joy. Hugs!
Looks like he is not making your life easy, hiding behind a small branch.Still, these are great and I would be very happy with the.
Great pictures too!
WTG. Debbie!!!!!
Good for you finally capturing him... you sound like my hubby trying to get the pictures of Eagles. I think maybe because there are so many in this area but we get a lot of cardinals here! He looks so great against the snow!
WTG???? i had to google it..."way to go"!!! many thanks!!!!
Awesome photos Debbie! I love Mr. Cardinal's pointy head!
