On the way home from the airport on Thursday,
I caught a glimpse of a most touching moment.
A beautiful horse, with an adorable goat, in a loving pose....
glancing at each other, their noses were touching.
The hubs spun the car around but as soon as we pulled in to the farm,
they broke pose and were curious about their company.
It is difficult to see the little white goat, but look closely, he's there.
I suspect they are best buds!!
They were not happy when we pulled away...
there was a lot of noise and a bit of a ruckus.

The fences are designed to keep them both away from the outer fence.
And there was a big gate, keeping me away from them.
Drat!!

It felt like they were looking for a little love!!

A lovely post Debbie. Sweet companions!
Hi Debbie!:) Lovely photos with great fence scenes, and I think you can tell that the horse and goat are friends.
Hope you get another chance to see them kissing.:) We once had a goose and a goat that were inseparable.
aw...too bad ya couldn't get closer
Both are herd animals so it's good they have each other for company.
Nice! If that's the only horse, the goat is likely his/her companion.
Good morning, Debbie. The horse and goat must be good company for each other. Cute photos, it is a shame you could not get closer. They were checking you out, maybe expecting a treat or two? Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

I love how you spin the car around to get a photo. I can't tell how many times I've caused a scene doing that. ;-) My sister-in-law raises and boards horses, and she has goats to keep them company. Apparently the goats are good for calming a skittish horse too.
They probably were, and hopefully they are cared for well. What sweet photos, thanks for sharing them with us.
Awe - it's always nice to have good friends. :)
These are beautiful photo's, Debbie. xoxo
I know just how you feel, Debbie as near my home there is a field with a pony & goat in it who are always side by side but I can't get near enough to snap any decent pics!
Sweet critters & lovely fences too!
Happy Valentines Day!
Glad you went back for photos for sharing the characters in your story of their close encounter ;)
Looks like they are best friends!!

They are so sweet Debbie.
I've been told that goats cannot be a singular animal, and that they will bond with almost any animal that will allow it.
Sweet shots of the goat and the horse ~ great for Valentine's Day ~
Happy Valentine's Day ~ ^_^
That is so sweet.
They are looking for love, which they lack of.
I may have had to break some rules and fences and show them a little lovin.
Great selection of photo's Debbie, nice that they have each other for company.
All the best Jan

I bet that was unexpected to see a goat with a horse and to be loving on each other, that is too cute :) I bet being in the same pen they get to know one another, and sounds like they are happy to have each other too. So fun to see those unexpected things when you are out and about :)
yup, goats make good calming companions for horses. :)
That is so sweet! Too bad they moved when you turned back around, but still its cute seeing them together. What a perfect Valentine's day post!
I loved the photos. I have always loved horses. We once had a run away goat try to go after my little daughter and our dog got between them and saved her. Blessings and hugs for another sweet moment!
It's a good thing they have each other since no one else can get to them!
