Frozen In Ice

Last week, the hubs and I traveled north to Skylands Stadium for

Frozen In Ice

An indoor/outdoor ice display featuring 100 tons of breathtaking
ice sculpted displays.
On display and the highlight of the display is a huge 50 foot long slide,
a log cabin, a giant sized throne, a horse drawn carriage...
a working lighthouse with a boat, a gold mine maze,
old fashioned gold miners and Miners baseball players ~ all in ice.

Also on display is an interactive ice lounge and an ice bar,
with.....wine tasting.
I know my wine loving friends would enjoy that!!!

Here's that 50 foot slide, and yes, that's me, top left,
laying down, feet visible only.

And at the bottom, woohoo, that was exhilarating!

And here we are...

the hubs and I, this was so fun and very beautiful!

Hello Debbie, cute photos of you and your hubs. The slide looks cold but fun! I like the horse and wagon. Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week!

Amazing sculptures, Debbie! I wonder how long they last before melting, and do they have to make them several times in winter? I am curious, that's why my name is George. :)

Love seeing you on the slide. Was your butt cold?

xoxo

What fun this must have been, Debbie, especially the slide! :-)
I cannot even begin to imagine all of the work that went into putting this all together.
Amazing artwork.

Even I, who lives with ice too much of the year, can appreciate and admire the artistic quality of ice sculptures. They're amazing, aren't they! Cute pic of you two. :-)

Wow it just amazes me with all the creative talent people have with ice sculptures, when we lived in Idaho they would have now sculptures in Northern Idaho and oh my it was just amazing, you drove through the town and they were just everywhere. I like how they have lights to color them too. How fun to have tried out the slide, good way of staying young at heart!! Love your smiling faces!

You slid down that slide -- I am in utter awe. Almost in as much awe over that as I am over the carvings themselves. I can't imagine how those guys can do what they do! Did you ever see that one TV show about ice-carvers? I forget if it was on HGTV or what. Anyway the mother of one of the carvers is a neighbor here.

You two are amazing and I can see in the photo the sweet love you have for each other. I love all the unique places that you visit. I am just so in awe over these ice sculptures. The slide is really interesting. I can't go down a regular slide let a lone an ice one; you are so brave. Blessings and hugs~
