The Inlet

Last week I mentioned that the rain had been relentless, and it was, but on Saturday, May 17th
the sun came out, the sky was blue and no jacket was required.
We took a drive down to the inlet to watch the boats come in and go out...
we saw a lot of boats, both private and commercial and a large number of people fishing.

This was a "Sea Tow Boat" out for a spin, no one was in tow.

Mister D
I always enjoy looking for and reading the names people come up with for their boats.

Looking toward the ocean, it appeared to be high tide and rough.
The waves looked so pretty crashing against the rocks.

I always try to capture the "spray"!

As I sat on the bench, taking it all in, I was reminded of how lucky I am to live so close to the ocean,
the inlet and the seaside vibe.
And how lucky I am to have this guy in my life.

We have been cloudy and rainy here. Take care, have a great day!

What a lovely post. We forget to be grateful for where we live at times. I live near a large lake and in the mountains and just an hour from the ocean lucky indeed.

Boat names can definitely be quite creative! And there"s nothing quite as welcome as a beautiful day after a "spell of rain !" Wonderful pictures !

You did have a great day for an outing, Debbie, and I also like seeing names people give their boats. You are lucky to have one another!

So glad the weather improved to get out and down to the water. Looks like a lot of people were taking advantage of that too! You did a great job capturing the waves coming in and splashing. Yes it is always good to be thankful for all the blessings we have in our lives, big and small!
