Autumn At The Reservoir

New Jersey is experiencing a severe drought right now and it is quite evident when visiting the reservoir.
It has been 36 days since we have had any rain.
The reservoir looked so pretty, clearly the water level was very low.
I used my Zingerchair but only got half way around because it was so hot.
There are 2 entrances so the hubs picked me up at the second entrance, easy peasy.

Only the Female Ruddy Ducks would pose for pictures.
The males were up then under water, lickety split.

- autumn is proof that change is beautiful -

It has gotten cooler here, Debbie. Wish we could share a few degrees with you.

Hello Debbie,
Pretty photos of the reservoir. The ducks are cute! I am looking forward to seeing the winter ducks return. It is the same here, we have not had any rain in 30+ days. Take care, have a great day!

These colors are so beautiful. I love seeing the ducks, too.

How far down is the water?---- does it usually go up into and over those rocks?

It's the same here in NH, Debbie, as our apartment overloks part of the nashua River and we can tell when it's down which it is now. Also, hope you're feeling better and thanks for your comment on my fall foliage post, much appreciated.

Hard to beat the scenery of water and autumn leaves. Love your pictures, especially the Ruddy!

We have very low levels here too, we went a long time without any rain and then the last two days we have finally got rain, hoping it helped the rivers, sadly in Missouri they got more than we did and had flooding and some people drove into it and drowned.
Love the reflection in your first photo. Hope you get some rain soon but not all at once.

You did get some lovely photographs Debbie.
I do hope you get some much needed rain there soon - but no flooding!

All the best Jan
