Saturday's Critters #445

I have had several outings this week to gaze upon nature
and the tiny critters that call the outdoors home.

We first saw this Gosling on June 15th, there was only one.
I assume there were many more Goslings, but on this day only one was left.
The first 2 images are from that day.

We went back on June 19th to find the gosling with mom and dad in around the same spot.
That was a good sign...perhaps it would survive.
The image above and the 2 below are from the 19th of June.

This was the last image I took on June 19th,
when we went back on the 23rd the gosling was gone...
perhaps, the circle of life!

This handsome Egret was at Lake of the Lilies on the 23rd,

tiny fish in beak, I liked the reflection in this picture.

Red-Winged Black Birds are everywhere at the lake,
they are fun to watch and a delight to listen to.

Sharing today's images with Eileen at

There's nothing sweeter than goslings! And how nice to get out and enjoy nature. I've gotten out some but it is SO hot! And we aren't seeing quite as much right now. Enjoy your weekend my friend!

I hope the wee gosling was just hiding somewhere when you went back. Your shots are wonderful as usual.

Circle of life indeed. There are so many critters out there looking for a meal. Beautiful pictures though, don't you just love this time of year!?!?

Beautiful.

A sad story. Goslings, ducklings etc. have a dangerous life. We have swan baibes nearby, and they all disappear every year :(

The gosling is so precious, let's hope he was taking a nap when you stopped by. The ones around here are already big, 3/4 the size of their parents but still cute to watch them, they are just up the road and when we go anywhere we have to drive by so it has been fun watching them grow up!
Another fun day out I can see :)
