This past week, we took a ride thru the Great Adventure Drive Thru Safari.
On our way to Great Adventure, the hubs spotted a Hawk sitting on a fence, roadside,
I missed it.
He spun the car around and went back, the Hawk was still sitting there.
It was a rural area, no one behind us, so the hubs was able to stop in the middle of the road for pictures.
I am sharing all of the pictures I took, as it is all I have for today.
I think this may be a Juvenile Red-Tailed Hawk.
Sharing today's images with Eileen at

I'm so glad your Hubs turned around and went back! He is so GOOD!!
And the photographs are incredible! I love looking at these great pics!!
What a beauty! You have some great shots, Debbie.
Hawks are SO FIERCE!!---yet beautiful! FIERCE predators for sure. Happy weekend my friend!
He is quite comfortable on his perch! They don't scare easily!
You got wonderful shots of this creature. Fabulous details.
I love all of the picture that you take. I've always wanted to obtain a picture of the male and female northern cardinals that you have taken such fabulous pictures of. The house that we bought came with little signs of cardinals, switch plates, picture hanging in the laundry area in the basement, a black storage bench with hand painted cardinals on it and real cardinals that come and visit a "special" (have no clue what kind it is) shrub, for the berries, in our back yard.
The pictures of the hawk are fabulous. I got a couple of shots through our kitchen window of a hawk in our back yard last summer. It was being antagonized by a large raven. I went to take pictures from a different window and they were gone. Your shots are much nicer than mine but mine do give me proof that it was there. Ranee (Rae) (MN)
Spectacular photos!
Beautiful hawk! Yesterday I saw a bald eagle but did not get a picture. I was driving and he flew over the road and disappeared.
Isn't he a beauty? Great photos of this very regal looking hawk Debbie.
Nice "National Geographic" photo work! And you didn't offer him any morsels from your lunch basket? Linda in Kansas
Wonderful shots!
Great pictures....
You got some marvelous images of an adult Red-tailed Hawk, rather than a juvenile. The red feathers of the tail is a sign of adult status. It is quite large and since the females are larger than the males in Birds of Prey, this is quite possibly a female. Nice that the hubs stopped for you. These are great~
He is pretty, you got some great close up shots of him, lots of different angles!
Outstanding! He/she's a beauty! Glad you guys turned around!
