Saturday Critters ~ 275 ~

Do you remember me telling you there is always a story?
There really is always a story, always!

I like to go with the hubs and keep him company when he does his "running around"...
It's usually boring work stuff but at least I get to spend time with him,
and I usually get one good meal out.
Sometimes I can sneak in a trip to my favorite lake or the inlet if I go...so I go.

Well this time, nature came to us.
We were at the bank,
minding our own business when two wild turkeys walked up the parking lot behind us.
The bank is in a shopping area, no woods, not an area you would expect to see wild turkeys,
but there they were!
Two females, not a male in sight.

This is a species that will adapt quite well to human activity. It is not uncommon here to see them walking down the street.

Hello, maybe the turkey had to do some banking business too. What a neat sighting and a weird spot for the turkeys. Great photos.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.

Wonderful!
I see wild turkeys in the fields, but too far away for a photo. I am envious!

They are SO much fun to see! We have a flock in our community and see them in the same spot from time to time When we drive by we always hope to see them. They are beautiful and as always...your photos are fabulous!

How awesome and weird is that??? I can safely say I've never photographed turkeys in a bank parking lot! LOL! Beautiful photos!

How strange is that and they are just mossing around.

They must have been heading someplace and just took a break! haha...Strange that they were hanging at a bank in the parking lot. But I tell you, I got where I don't question anymore, learning that most of the critters seem to be coming out all over here in Nashville due to all the growing we are doing. Building all over just pushing them out. Right now I seem to be dealing with a raccoon hanging in the yard and I think he is sick.

Sorry....reply to your comment on my blog. I am not going to be doing the work at the house. Yes, there will be a lot to do and I am thankful it is not me doing it. Also...yes, going back to work. I needed something to get me out. Talking to furbabes all day has gotten out of hand and I needed human contact! I will only be working hours a day, days a week and that will not be every week. I can only work 120 hours in a yr, or less. Will depend on the work in the office.

I'd love to see one of these in the wild.

I've only ever seen one wild one, and it was sauntering across the graveyard. Scared me to death!

Isn't it just wonderful when those unexpected photo opportunities come up like that and you see something so out of the ordinary, you were able to get great pictures of them!

I don’t remember any prevous photos of wild turkeys, so this is a great photo shoot of these birds. It appears that they are rather large. This looks like a great discovery adventure for the two of you! Hugs~

I do love a good story! You got some great shots of these turkeys - I find that they're pretty quick to run away whenever I see one.
