Yarn Along

When I posted last Wednesday,
I had just finished my "first", crocheted

here I am wearing it, just before I went out to show it off.
I am super proud of this shawl and I am keeping it for myself.

When a pattern is fresh in my mind,
and I have memorized it as much as I can, I like to make another.

And so I did!
Crocheting, moves fast, much faster than knitting.

I am keeping this shawl for myself as well, I crocheted it with a purpose.
This shawl will keep me warm at
The Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival in October.

The yarn is hand dyed and the variations are notable.
Malabrigo
Rios
Pure Merino Superwash yarn
This yarn is made in Peru

I must say, I am in love, and also quite proud...
learning new skills at my age can be a bit of a challenge...
thank goodness for great teachers,
who become your friend!

Hello, Debbie.
Both of your shawls are beautiful. You must be a quick learner, knitting two so fast. Wishing you a happy day!

Wow!! Your shawl is gorgeous and it looks so great on you too.
You've been so productive over the past while, whipping out a second one - with lovely wool also.
Crocheting rocks!!! Our Daughter loves doing hers too and I'm inspired even more to take up a hook :D) xx

beautiful, love those colors, and good for you to keep them, I do enjoy crocheting more just because it is easier for me to fix my mistakes, but I think something just look better knitted, this looks like it will keep you nice and warm :)
