Baby It's Cold Outside

Chilly seems like a good word to describe the weather when it's cold outside...
Frosty or Freezing might be more appropriate,
but quite frankly, it is downright Frigid here in New Jersey right now!
So...we're going with Frigid to describe the temperatures here the last few days!
Temps in the mornings have been in the low single digits.
We have been reaching double digits in the afternoon, but those have been in the teens.

This hangs on my front door during the Winter, just in case someone visits and they don't know!

Baby it's cold "frigid" Outside

So what does one do when it is "Frigid" outside,
and yet they have "organized" every single thing in their in home?

You can go to the movies, we went to two.
"Upside" was awesome, we both went, somehow I lost one ticket, and we really liked "The Mule"
Upside was the better of the two, but we enjoyed both of them.
The hubs goes for the popcorn, and those huge reclining seats they have now,
I'm not sure he would even notice if they were not playing a movie!

My friend Connie sent me this Seahorse picture to color.
So I broke out the colored pencils, dusted them off, no joke...
and had a coloring session.
Many thanks Connie, this was extremely therapeutic.

She sent me two, so I have one more to color, a flower.

I have been organizing the pictures on my computer, putting them into folders.
This is very time consuming and not fun at all!
I figure by the time I finish, my computer will break and I will need a new one.
And no, nothing is backed up...who out there wants to help me?

I have been cooking a lot, crocheting, knitting and dare I say cleaning...
I have cleaned out most of my kitchen cabinets.
I don't enjoy doing it but I will say I love when they are done.

I'm sure there is more, but you get the picture.
So tell me, what do you do when it is "Frigid" outside?

Hello, I have been walking on my treadmill. I miss walking outside on the warmer days. Cleaning is not my idea of fun, but it has to be done. Reading is another one of my fun things. I need to organize my photos too. Stay warm! Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend.

It's supposed to reach 75 today, here. I live in Florida because I don't like the cold.

Debbie, you have made good use of the time inside. Well done. Movies are a great choice.

We have a proverb in Finland: "If you wait for fine weather to go out, you will wait all winter long", and here winter IS long! ;)

upside is about a wealthy quadriplegic who hires a recently paroled ex-convict to assist him with his day to day needs. the 2 develop an unexpected friendship as they navigate his penthouse and new york city. it was based off of a true story, it did not get excellent reviews but i found it to be a sweet story!!

I am shocked that you don't have your pictures backed up. I would have lost all 30,000 plus if I had not had them backed up online. I suggest Flickr or even Google Photos for free back-ups. I like the picture of the coloured pencils.Something about that draws my attention.

I love your seahorses!

Frigid is a way of life on the Canadian Prairies, where I grew up. Winter meant 6-7 months of mainly very cold days. But we coped, we went about our business, even enjoyed the crisp, clean air on brilliant sunny days. I hope your weather gets warmer soon though. It's hard when it's such a drastic change from the norm.👢🍵

Happy Weekend Debbie!😊

Like Ruth said, it is VERY important to back your photographs up. Buy an external hard drive, look up the web and they are not too dear and the process is VERY esy to do. For me and I imagine you on later life, will cherish these photographs and the memories it brings back to you so do not delay, go so it Debbie! In N.Ireland although it is not as cold as you in winter, weather should never be the problem for not going out, the problem is one is NOT wearing the tight clothes for THAT weather! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

We had -20 wind chill here just two days ago and we're back to the 50's and 60's for the week. I don't know how to dress! LOL! Great job on the seahorses! I feel your pain on the photo organization. Not to be a nag, but you should have a back-up. ;-)

Oh my goodness so many of us had quite the struggles haven't we? Many of my co-workers don't remember or even ever experienced just how low Minnesota temperatures can go. Our schools were closed for three days in a roll, with -31 real degrees and the windchill was double that!

Hi there! I have been subscribed to your wonderful blog for awhile now. Your pictures are awesome! I want your camera and your location! I live in PA but spend most of my time on an Island on the coast of Maine where I am taking care of my 91 year old Mom. Could you please share with me your make, etc of your camera?! zarzyckisusan@yahoo.com

I love the seahorses you've coloured in.
When I can't get out I usually read more …

All the best Jan

I am so glad you brought this to my attention that I missed it, I wonder how many I miss. You did a fabulous job coloring these two up, are you going to make it into a card for your hubs for Valentines day, hint hint :) We haven't been to a movie in so long, they both looked interesting to me, good to know which one to rent or watch on Netflix if they come to it. Greg would so freak out if he didn't have back up of his photo's. He buys an external hard drive that he keeps back ups on. What I would like to do on a frigid day is cuddle under my heating blanket and play games on my kindle but usually I do the same old cleaning and cooking.
