it pours - well not every time - but Friday was a "deluge"!
All day long, the house was dark and cozy, and I personally love when it rains.
If it thunders with lighting - well they are the icing on the cake.
And in spite of all that rain, I still have this pretty view from my home office window.
The backyard looks beautiful, even in the rain, the purple azaleas and viburnum are in full bloom.
- You can really see the rain coming down in these next two images -
These garden beds are edged beautifully,
but today they were filled to the top with water and they looked like a raging river.

You can see the pool, beyond the deck but the river beyond that is not visible.
How lucky am I - to have this view?

This was a great day to stay indoors and enjoy indoor projects,
the sun came out around 4 pm, and that was perfect!

We had a day like that not long ago. Too yucky for my tastes
We are having rain here too. My view is not as pretty as yours however!
It's beautiful! Hope you got a nice rainbow afterwards! ~jackie~
yep, lucky you. I'm pouting. I don't even have a window in my 10by10 office
That kind of rainy day is wonderful. The sound of rain on the roof is so soothing.Yes,you do have a fantastic view.
Sounds like a perfect day....(as long as it doesn't happen day after day after day after....oops, I'm thinking of Oregon winters the way they used to be when we lived there all year). Anyway, yeah, once in a while great~ And your view is scrumptious.
Like you, I love a good, rainy day. Light storms make it even better.
Your view is fabulous!!!!!!! I see you have your Oriole feeder ready. I will be putting mine and the hummer feeder up this week--if it every warms ups!!!!!
Such a beautiful place you have Debbie. Rain, rain, rain....we have had our share also. But if sure does bring out the green in the yard and the gardens. I love it. Course, I love a nice walk in a summer rain but its been a bit cool here so I have past on that so far.
your yard is so so so pretty! A big glass of sweet tea on ice and a nice comfy chaise lounge and a good book......and I would be happy there for hours. Well, when the rain stops and the sun is back anyway...
It looks like we are about to have a couple of sorely needed dry days, but there is also snow on the ground this morning.
Glorious view you have from your office window, Debbie. Everything is so beautifully green and those azaleas are so pretty. I too, love rain and lightning and thunder.
This is perfect, you've shared just how beautiful even rainy days can be!
It is so good to be indoors when it is raining like this.
Love your azaleas.
All the best Jan
Sure looks like you are getting the rain we had, wow that was some system that went through. I love all your Azaleas blooming, they are gorgeous, you should see my sad plant out front it has like 3 flowers on it and the leaves have like brown spotted marks on them, I don't know if it has a disease or needs something or what, we have had it for a few years now and it doesn't seem to be doing any better than when we got it.
You are so blessed to have these lovely view of your back yard. Your yard is spectacular. The flowers and other folige is just breathtaking. I too love how greeen eveything is when photographed in the rain. I like the smell of the air after a good rains storm. I enjoy the thunder but not the lightening that much. I have a phopia about lightening; but I can watch it from far away.
Sending loveing thoughts your way for brightening my day! Hugs~.
We had the same here, both Friday and Saturday.
I noticed something though...
The colors are so much more vibrant in the spring when it rains.
I can see that in your photos here too.
Your yard looks just gorgeous, Debbie.
xo.
There's our purple woman!
Such a pretty back yard. - Yep, that rain was really coming down. I would have stayed inside too.
I'm with you on loving a rainy day! If I had this beautiful view I would never get any work done!
